I didn't really take notice of the hype that was going on when the game was "pre-launched" and I remember all the bad press initially, only this year did I finally purchase this after seeing how much love and attention that the developers at Hello Games put into it, and the regular updates were good to see

It did take me a while to 'get into' it, at least 10 hours in until I really started to enjoy it, it felt a little bit aimless at first, but once following the main path missions rather than following the secondaries first (as I often do in open world games) it just made sense

Be prepared to put some hours in though, as the time flies once you start a session

If you consider 5hrs to be short, then it's too short. However in my mind it's the perfect length. The experience was 'Wow' and that soundtrack, oh the soundtrack!

This game is one reason why you should almost always look towards the "indie" devs before buying "Mainstream" titles.

Was able to connect quite easily with the lead character and as a consequence the storyline was engrossing.

Woo, lets drive a truck!

Sure, sounds boring, geeky, and not a lot of fun - but rather than simply laugh at it do yourself a favor and at least download the demo, it'll let you do a hell of alot before the demo will kick you out. Once demo'ed you'll be wanting to purchase the full game and I wouldn't blame you =)

There is good customisation of the trucks included and the developers have recently provided a new truck for FREE, unlike some other games we can mention. Updates are pretty frequent and there is a thriving modding community.

Give it a go!...

Thomas "WAS" alone until the later levels =)

Very clever storyline, and controls are accurate enough for a platformer. A good case to show game developers that gameplay is king and graphics are NOT everything you need for a good game.

What do you mean I've only got one arm? Is that hammer heavy enough to smash the ribcage? what's in this green syringe? xD

Operate like "Dr Death" in this game =D (It's a bit of sillyness to while away a few minutes of your time)

A platformer that has puzzles but is also somehow relaxing. 'Boss' sections are a bit WTF do I do here?!? for a few minutes but soon worked out.

Run, Kill, Run, Kill Kill Kill Kill, Run, Run, Die =( Run, Kill, Run, Kill Kill Kill Kill, Run, Run, slash, slash, die, repeat =D

Like an 80's coin op arcade machine, something draws you into the game and in the 'old' days your stash of 50p's would disappear really quickly.

If your eyes can stand the pseudo scanline effect and value gameplay over looks then this is a GREAT game.

Manic Mansion for the 'Modern' era (Cliché I know)

Items required to perform tasks actually makes sense, unlike the majority of 80's and 90's Adventure games and the platform element is a nice twist.

Be warned, lots of going back and forth until you know what items aren't / are needed, etc.. so patience required to begin with.

You'll also only get 15hrs+ of gameplay if you're going for all the achievements, reckon on at least half of that if you only go for 'Good' endings or 'Bad' endings.

Overall another enjoyable Ron Gilbert game.. now get on with a NEW Monkey Island! =)

Prepare to die... A LOT! Particularly whilst you're new. Great character / car customisation, combat is so, so and be prepared to come across the odd cheater or two.

Apart from that it's good enough to waste a few hours on.
