this game is another sad case of "what couldve been" and "what if". it had a lot of potential at and near its release but the developers failed to respond to community feedback on gameplay and balance issues, and failed to deliver on the promises they made to fix the game's many flaws. They instead decided to stab their community in the back to make more money in the bank, and it continued to do so until its bitter end.

I remember playing during some of the early days of the game on an older account and a little more in the later days on this one and genuinely enjoying the former, while finding the latter to be a stale and hollow ghost town still riddled with the same issues it had years ago, as well as new ones that just make the game hard to enjoy the way it is now.

I might not be able to remember much of the glory days, as the last time i played it was 3 very busy years ago, but i do remember the times i can very fondly.

Very well made addition to the CMS franchise and well worth the hype! the new cars, engines, mechanics/minigames, etc. keep the game fresh and new while still having a familiar feeling to it. Add that to the workshop gaining momentum and it results in a combo that's as sweet and savory as the root beer float from your local ice cream shop!

Saw a dwarf with a lute on the battlefield, got my head crushed by a hammer vibing with dwarf, dwarf beat the hammer guy to death with lute and saluted over my dead body. good times.

In all honesty, this game is good, but if it wants to be greater, it needs tons of polish, patching, and fixes. The story (as far as i've gotten through) is very solid, the characters are memorable and charming, and at times, beautiful city settings or gorgeous badlands vistas. Onto the bitter parts of the game, besides the numerous bugs and graphics issues. I personally feel that the game should tone it back a little so that the game runs and looks smoother for people with PCs that don't have the latest and greatest parts, and to quote Internet Historian, "the AI is more A than I." at times. Weapons can sometimes feel a little to weak at times, and prices can be unfair (getting only $62 for selling a gun a vendor relists for $1k). The cars in this game are stunning and beautiful and the handling is a bit tighter than most but still very good. That being said, the AI driving them can be wonky. Other than that, the game is good in most other areas and it's a game I have no regrets buying. Can't wait to see what happens in the future for this game and how it improves in quality. Remember, do the sidequests as soon as you can. It pays off in the long run 100%.

Finding a good server can be a bit tedious at times, but when you find a good one, the game can be really fun to play. It can be a bit tough to get used to the games mechanics but it's worth it in the end. sucks that theres no single player though.

It's an ok game, i like the concept of it, but the weapon selection is a bit too small and it can get boring after a while. Give it a try, you might like it better than i did.

first online session i went in, wandered around for a half hour, climbed up a hunting tower and got told to f**k off by a more experienced guy who basically kicked me out of the tower.

Very fun game to play. Stating out new can be a bit tough since there will most likely be game terms like "dodge", "infamy", and "crit build" thrown at you and seem foreign, but past that, you can get the hang of the game easily. Speaking of builds, they're one of the most fun parts of the game to delve into. You wanna run around the map dodging bullets and destroying anything in your path with akimbo He shotguns? You got it! You wanna be a moving wall of armor plates armed with a MG42 and a sawn-off shotty? You got it! You wanna be a heister with crippling alcoholism that gets stronger everytime you take a swig of your flask after getting shot? You better believe you got it! The heists are pretty fun and not hard to understand (except Car Shop, that one sucks unless you're a stealth specialist) and have their own bit of lore built into them. The lore is also pretty neat to find, especially the descriptions of the outfits. Topping all that off with the game getting new content and dev attention after being left in limbo in 2017-ish, the game is a good buy for those who like robbing banks with flamethrowers and getting beat to death by the Cloaker, who calls this a difficulty tweak.
