as someone who's relatively new to the Monster Hunter series (first game was Rise), this game has been a blast to play. all the mechanics and gameplay feel just right.

i wanted to hug that gator even before playing, but after experiencing all the endings i wani hug that gator EVEN HARDER

great story, animations got me hype af (except one particular one which devastated me, you wani bros know which one)

praying we get bonus chapters + gallery like we did we snoot in a future update, but overall, 10/10, would hug the gator again

Even just having a tiny go at it in between doing my final projects for the semester, just being able to quill the whistle as I handled the tutorial passenger service brought me immense happiness in a world of stress.

10/10, would Reading 6 chime again.

-- 80 HOUR UPDATE --
This truly is railroading with a purpose. I constantly find the hours flying by when I'm playing this game. Haven't tried multiplayer yet, but running multiple trains using the AI Engineer is immensely satisfying. My favorite part so far has been switching. Lots of puzzles to be solved.

-- 300 HOUR UPDATE --
300+ Hours later, and I still find myself hooked. The addition of Wear & Tear and Hotboxes kept me on my toes, always wary of the conditions of my equipment. It really threw a satisfying wrench into things without being too overbearing, keeping daily operations from being monotonous, especially on a single player save.
