This is pretty much your only real option for proper turn based mech combat other than stuff like Front Mission.

Did you like Need For Speed Underground 1 & 2? Did you like Tokyo Drift? Yeah you probably should try this.

If you are someone who likes the Guild 1 and 2 this game is right up your alley. The addition of some mild survival elements such as feeding yourself and keeping warm add a nice extra layer. There are some rough edges but for the price you can't really go wrong if this is your type of game. The dev is open to suggestions and quite active trying to bring their vision to life. This is one I'm happy to support just to see where it goes.

Path of where the hell did my time just go?

Diablo 2's strange bastard child that got way too big for its boots but no one can stop it now. Scope of the content is nearing Warframe tier with the amount of stuff that you can do and variability in builds alone. Highly worth a look if you have any interest in Diablo style ARPGs.

Note: I highly suggest playing around on a character to level 20-30 or so to learn the game then finding a build you like on poebuilds. While I'm not normally one to go this route in games for your first "main" character it is quite useful to have a guide on where to go on the gigantic passive skill tree and a direction on what skills to use.

DE continues to update this game in ways that I'd never have thought possible when I first started playing the game early in its lifespan. This is a game that makes all those weird suggested features on forums for other games seem tame.

"WHAT IF DE ADDED A GIANT SHIP THAT YOU COULD FLY AROUND IN WITH YOUR BUDDIES!?" Dev Reply: I mean.. that seems a little limited. What if it had shiny textures, too?

Installed Steam release to make sure it worked as flawlessly as the previous windows releases on the unreal world site.

Make trap pit to pass the time as I'm a bit earlier in spring than I planned to be.

Fall into own trap pit despite having played this game off and on for years.

Barely make it out only to see an animal watching me from the tree line.

Bleed out knowing at least the trap pit worked.

10/10 would kill self again.




On a serious note, this game is a fantastic survival simulation with incredible depth. I have played it for many years and am super happy to see it on Steam. If you are on my friends list you are probably tired of hearing about this game by now but it really is worth a look if you are into wilderness games.

November 2016 Update: The Steam Awards are a perfect opportunity to nominate this gem for the Test of Time award as I cannot count the number of times I've come back to this wonderful game over the years.

A pyromaniac sim that happens to have a story added in for free. Worth picking up if you like burning things, and would like more from the World of Goo universe.

"Roguelike" is a term thrown at FTL quite a bit, but "Startreklike" is probably more accurate. This game is fantastic and I would highly recommend it to anyone that has always wanted to command a space ship of redshirts to their death.

Note: This game hates you and will try to kill you from the start. Do not come in expecting happy fun space patrol.

Its a civ game, now with hexes. Its also kinda pretty. Why are we doing this, just get the game already.
