I understand that, i'd wish steam wouldn't require it just to chat about things - i have however made a profile group as an alternative, tough a bit complicated to use outside of a real browser xP
Discord i don't use by principle, because of it's spyware nature! - i know steam isn't that far off from that, as the same 'merican gov regulations apply here aswell - but at least it's not Valves main interest to profit on our communication and they don't need to eighter! ;-)
