Look, If you expect a return to everything you loved about the original FFVII... you're not going to find it here. That was a masterpiece.

But if you want a familiar romp with stunning visuals and audio that could make your ears weep with joy... well you're in the right place.

Every other developer, Take Notes:

Horses have balls with "Jiggle Physics".
Ye-Haw vision allows you to be a Matrix Cowboy.
Skin the world, sell it to itself
Horses take actual ♥♥♥♥♥, fully animated.
Cripps is OP.

Ships get the choppies, choppies go in the furnace, credits go into the account. What more could you ask for?

If you're looking for a fun game, this is certainly fun. A Dark Souls-like game (but with pew pew) Remnant: From the Ashes is a fun game with lots to offer. As far as length of play: not so much. At the time of writing this I have 15 hours logged. However 8 of it was spent paused while I ran various errands in my life. I was able to play the game from opening screen to final boss battle in 7 hours easy. I took my time, opened and unlocked all the stuff I could find before moving forward to a new area, and backtracked several times to make sure. Maybe the DLC adds more, but unless it's a considerable amount (doubling the vanilla) then I'm not interested.

TL:DR - Great game, just not a long one.

This game fuses the table top RPG feel to the PC in a way that I really love. Great job.

Punch-a-man. Man go zoom. Fun fun.

Game has been on a backslide for a while now, and this most recent update and change to the game is the final nail in the coffin for me. Finally uninstalled.

It's Dark Souls 2. I mean... come on.

Tight controls and a difficulty that I can only describe as "fair but punishing". Not a casual buy, but a great game if you're looking for a challenge.
