Early Access Review
*****EDIT*****

I originally didn't recommend picking up this game. This being said; however, the recent set of updates and fixes have made the game dramatically more playable, and honestly better than Phasmophobia. I'm leaving my original review up so how I thought about the game at first can be seen, but please keep in mind that the game is dramatically better now, as is my opinion of it. I highly recommend it nowadays.

This game has a lot of potential. This being said; however, the game is marred with numerous issues.

At no time should players ever be able to shove one another around. It's ridiculous and gets me killed regularly. Fix this immediately. Not to mention, I never hear any spirit box inputs. Losing items because you failed a bugged investigation is also completely ridiculous.

What a waste of $18. For a game that's trying to emulate Phasmophobia, you'd think you could at least *try* to put some effort in. Also, fix all of the typos. It's completely ridiculous. Awful game.

I'll start this off by saying that MGR is one of my favorite hack-and-slash games of all time. That said, the game has its flaws, and some of them are glaring at that.

The pros:
Blade Mode is great - freely cutting anything anytime is amazing.
The gameplay is fun and addictive, albeit over the top, but Hideo Kojima has never been anything but.

The cons: Not much room to expand graphically on the game. I know it's a 2013 release so I can't complain too much. Plus, I'm certain there are mods out there for it anyway.

Get a controller. For the love of god. Why did Konami think it was a good idea to map the ability to swap targets to movement of the mouse? Seriously. Do yourself a favor. Grab yourself an Xbox One controller since this game isn't compatible with PS4 controllers. I don't think it'd be compatible with a PS5 controller either for obvious reasons.

Very intuitively made. For being a game made with the Unity engine, it's incredibly well thought out and polished. There are a few bugs here and there, but most of them are relatively minor and to be expected from a solo developer. Here's to hoping for more and even better content soon!

Alright, so.. Let's get this out of the way.

First off, there's obviously no K-Style, the majority of KMechanics (Is that a thing? It is now.) are included automatically in gameplay. The only real problem I have with the game is not being able to play it, due to my impatience, and exceedingly long wait times for a game to come available. Then again, that could also be due to lack of popularity, because this game certainly is a hidden little gem.
