I gave it 6 hours before I ended the BORING MONOTONY... This game only does a few things = basic trading, basic turn-based combat, basic city building... Somehow, it manages to do ALL of those little things TERRIBLY. It's been 18 years since Sid Meier's Pirates! was released, and that game BEATS THE CRAP out of Port Royale 4... This is jsut pathetic, I can't believe I wasted $10 and 6 hours of my life on this trash.

Okay here goes... This is my 3 hour review. IT'S A FUGGIN RESKIN OF WARBAND.

Ok ok, I don't want to get into a long drawn out review so I'll keep it short n sweet: These bastards had 8 years, YEARS, to get to early release status, and look at it... LOOK AT IT. Content is SO THIN, what happened to unique towns, unique characters, unique voiceovers? Everything is the SAME - all just text boxes and every AI says the same things over and over again - 8 years and they couldn't spend the time to get each tonfolk a customized chat experience? Just make em all say the same garbo over and over? It's actually WORSE than warband!

And you want to talk about grindy? Holy crap is the grind real, even with the double click that makes time speed up, it's just the same old boring routine of double click on looter, wait 5 minutes to catch up, kill looters, repeat x 5000 times before the storyline will begin...

Can't believe we all waited 8 years for this trash, an "it will only take 1 year for it to get fixed"? How's that? YOU HAD EIGHT YEARS.

** UPDATE AFTER 10 HOURS **
Okay so I've had new gripes and also found some silver linings. After 5 days of consecutive patches they've fixed a few problems (and made new ones along the way). Some storyline/quest elements are easier to find/use so that is opening the way for a little content - the content is still EXTREMELY THIN, like the main storyline? pffft it might as well just be a sandbox game only because so far the storyline is dumb, boring, waste of grind time.

Getting troops and keeping them paid/fed is easier once you figure out that keeping horses in your inventory increase your speed to chase looters/etc, so now I'm stockpiling horses and getting more battles in the looter-chase-kill-grind... I got a crazy quest to "train" a prince for 200 days, I immediately traded armor with that "companion" because it has more $ value than I have grinded in 10 hours and it will make my battles a lot easier when i don't die in 1 hit. Funny how just taking this quest has resulted in having god-level armor at my disposal now? Guess they should have bound this quest characters equipment lol

Game still feels like a total ripoff, THEY HAD 8 YEARS.

Welp, 9 hours away from hitting 3000 hours in CSGO. I'm a silver 4 because I play late at night and have the worst luck with teams, lots of drunks n druggy libtards... Anyways, the game is good, been playing it for a good 20 years, here's to 20 more :D

This game is actual trash. Spend all your time in game trying to work around or wait for bugs to finish or disconnect/reconnect hoping a bug goes away, worthless...

I read the reviews about the game crashing and poor performance, figured it was just tardos that dont understand how to use their computer... Nope, this game is ♥♥♥♥ and crashes every 20 minutes, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ worthless.
