Damn, I can't believe it. 13 years later I've got another Half-Life and I love it. From gameplay to story this game is awesome. The headcrabs had me shaking, the gun fights had me stumbling to reload as bullets flew by, and the story (especially the voice acting) had me crying. Say what you want about it needing VR or what the ending means for the series, it's a fantastic Valve game.

I played on an HTC Vive (standard) with specs that are fairly low (Nvidia 970, 16 GB RAM, and a gen 4 i7) I had to lower the resolution for the game to about 80% and there was an odd build up of skipped frames every few rooms (I highly recommend using a better graphics card and a newer processor, stick to those minimum specs). The problem was solved by simply saving and loading (load time was fairly small on an SSD, but still Valve time as far as loading goes) the saves are in place and the only thing lost is some ragdolls and the occasional half empty magazine. Going to be playing again after a break to get the remaining achievements and probably again when I have a new rig.
