4hrs playtime is me trying to boot Max Payne, Still haven't played - 10/10

Spyro is a good remaster of graphics ONLY BUT

1.Spyro moves 'sluggishly' compared to the original

Spyro feels heavy and slow, jumps are harder than original

- The community established that jumping is tied to the FPS, setting the game to 30FPS yields a higher jump than 60FPS, while some claim that Spyro at 120FPS slides around the screen like crazy LOL.

2. Hit registration is WAY OFF

'Speedway Minigame' - Flying through circles won't register at times....triggering a restart.

'Speedway Minigame' - Sometimes burning objects won't register the object being burnt, Triggering a restart.
*Sometimes I restart a time trial over 10 times because the speedway Minigame doesn't burn my targets.

'Spyro 3' - Hitting literally anything with Yeti in Spyro 3 at times wont register.

*I'll mention that Spyros flame is super inconsistent, some say it's a shorter flame compared to Original. It either hits or misses especially
in the times you need it to hit.

'Flame ability' - Both the Fire Flames and Fire Bolts are super inconsistent, Sometimes they hit, sometimes not.
- With flame bolts they are best used with the 'Aim' function as Spyro has inconsistencies hitting with no 'Aim' function

3. Controls

'Movement controls' - are inverted for Minigames AND CANNOT BE CHANGED (For the invert fix check the guide section for the workaround, Thanks spyro community)

TO ADD TO THE CONTROLS - There is no Sensitivity for Game pads. Only Mouse and Keyboard. :/// Yes you can do this externally but really...

'Another One DJ KHAL' - .Okay so Spyro purposely ADDS mouse acceleration to certain parts of Spyro, like Agent 9s minigames
where percision is needed

4. JANK

'Racing in a Car/Skateboard' - Sometimes when you land hard on the ground, you'll lose all momentum or Spyro will act like you were in the middle of a 'skateboard trick' and the board will break.(even if you weren't in a skateboard trick it will break) (and yes even if your board is perfectly straight and looks like it's not on a angle it will still break)

'Sliding' - Sliding physics are heavy, trying to turn corners...forget about it your going off the damn slide. Look up 'Spyro Slide Haunted Tomb' REMASTERED not original and you will see.(please look this up, it's actual silly)

'Responsiveness' - At times you could lightly tap the sprint button, and spyro will go so far as to jump off the map, but when you need to dodge an enemy bullet Spyro moves like a slug...very inconsistent.

'Softlock' - Yeah...another skill issue, if you miss a gem and need to go back to a world to get it...and it's locked in a room that needs a mission to open...you need to do that ENTIRE mission again. Not a crazy softlock. (Your going to repeat missions more than you think)

'Jumping' - Sometimes it takes RNG and no actual skill, you just miss. It's super crazy like intended jumps just fail.

'Keys Combined' - Certain keys can't over ride, If you want to glide but have your fingers on the 'sprint button' your glide wont over ride as priority. Many games have this fixed except Spyro.

'Spyro 2' - The 'Train Minigame' is one of the MOST BROKEN THINGS IVE SEEN IN A GAME.
- Sometimes the buttons won't turn the cart
- Sometimes if you fail the cart miussion you'll respawn to re do the mission and you'll spawn far above the cart almost off the screen
- When you jump over other objects expect to just die for no reason
- Shooting on a cart is horrible I don't know why this is a thing, it misses, there is no consistency (it's bad)

I updated the Review, It's easier to read and better layout. I updated because people actually like the review and have gifted points toward it.

Spyro Trilogy is a good graphics overhaul but gameplay is just weird. I've also 100% Spyro trilogy before making this review. So take it as you will.

HD textures for free, always good to see devs doing kind things like this :)

10/10

Wish there were more options to finish each level, other than that it's good :)

First play the game.

Then play Directors Cut.

10/10 for directors cut, now I need every game to feature this from now on.

Personally my favorite Lucius game :D
