I have 6 playthroughs with various friends currently going and do not plan on stopping. I will only second guess my choices when Amelia Tyler gives me four separate dialogue chances to reconsider. And even that will only do so much.

Be sure to wait until this DLC is not on sale before buying.

A lot has gone into this game in order to make it realistic and many of these aspects are cool. But in order for some of these implemented game mechanics to work properly, the game has to cooperate by being and playing equally realistically.

Spoiler: it isn't and doesn't.

Do not get me wrong, this could be a great game, but it needs more. Not more content; it needs to make more sense, frankly. I've ever been more upset at a game for not making sense than with the Long Dark and its lack of explaination and sensable choices of dialoge and actions.

+ A notable pro, however, is that I was able to return it, so there's that.

This game was just outright hated on for so long, and I suppose for good reason, but starting off on the wrong foot clearly has not deterred the company in the least. And that is inspiring. If you have it, check it out again, it's worth it. What was once the hype train degraded into the hate train, but it has been time for some while to finally step off that hate train. Pick up your space suit off the hanger, lets go explore again.

At least a year and a half ago, I saw this game for the first time. I still remember what I was thinking while watching the trailer:
"My god, this game looks too complicated, you must have to mash combo after combo of keys to do that flippy thing"
After this and some thought, I figured I would think about it and wait to see if a friend recommends it. I regret not signing up right away.
A week or so later, a friend I had met on Left 4 Dead 2 starts playing the game, and I ask him, "Is it good? Is it worth making the account for?"
He said, "Hell yeah, this game is crazy... I still don't really get the game, but it is pretty cool."
So, I set up my account and started playing. For the first few days, I played a little here and there, still pretty clueless and felt Planetside 2 needed my attention more. But one Saturaday morning, I had a sudden realization that I could get more weapons and even Warframes than just my good old Excaliber and Mk-1 Braton. I started playing much more after that, and I still remember my very first crafted weapon: my beautiful Orthos. Next came the Furis, and finally the Boltor. I was all set up, and at that point completely hooked.
This was all a year and a half ago, too. That game has come SO VERY FAR from that point, and I am still playing today like I did before. The gameplay was and still is loads of fun and extremely fast pased.

I must say, I am HUGELY surprised by how much I like this game...
or at least at how much I come back for more.

Take Borderlands
Stick it in third person
Add other players
Tweak it into an MMO

Now download it, you know you want to.

This game has taught me not to:

-Eat monster meats
-Get eaten
-Get beaten by a living tree
-Get beaten by pig people
-Get beaten by spiders
-Get beaten~ by those good ol' tentacles
-Cook mush
-Piss of buffalo beefalo
-Murder animals
-Freeze
-Burn
-Go insane
-Not be afraid of the dark
-Like wolves, ever
-STARVE, duh
-Be so cliche ^
-Make such long lists

10/10 would politics again
