From football, to snake, you can't possibly fathom such possiblities of beyond "John Madden".
I go by a saying, "To Dank, or not to Dank, that is the question" -Lord Pepe (God rest his soul).
For serious people; Thrive in this seemed desolate desert of dust and rock, good to practice for those who seek a part/full-time job on a Moon Base Colony in the neigh-future (its a possiblity). Keep in mind of your oxygen and all those gizmos, who knows, NASA might want to spend their taxpayers money on you to fix their problems away from Earth.
For non-serious people; John Madden, Football! Come over, Come over, Come over, Come over, Come over and here comes the Red Rover. Snek. Snek? Snaaaaaaaaaaaaake!
Translation: John Madden, there is a football here! Come over, please, come over here and watch as this Red rover comes over here. That snake, is a snake. Snake, what are you doing? Snake!!

To end at a serious/notsoserious note; A fun game/tool/.exe/etc to hang out with friends and family(eh, if you are those kind of people), but most importantly, fun to do random things and do things randomly.
I strongly suggest this, this is the bane of all dank memes.

Early Access Review
This, sandbox/simulator can have everything you can possibly imagine. Defy all laws/rules of the Universe and completely obliterate all tons of stuff, including Earth. In other words; Why are you fondling planets in a safe way when you can literally collide them and cause lots and lots of explosions?

But, back onto the main topic of this review; Create tons of solar systems with random generated planets/moons/stars/etc, I would take this as a way to allow us to speculate what would the Universe be like if it was this, or that, or anything that could possibly happen. Remember; The sky is the limit, but in this simulator, the space has no limits, only your computer/laptop/etc. Other than the neat gadgets and gizmos, it could have some good ol' tools in the future that could enhance our "ways" of destroying, creating, and observing such objects as time progresses.

In addition to that note, it's not just a game or simulator, it's a way to allow us to comprehend how our universe works and how gravity affects such objects like our Moon with the Earth's mass and tidal locking and what not. It's a tool to allow us to best understand how systems are made, how planets reach inhabitable statuses in which life could exist, and how we Humans got here and there. There is just so much more you can go in depth with the ways you can use this simulation/sandbox.

Furthermore, I would greatly suggest/recommend playing/using this simulator/sandbox just to fiddle with logic and gravity. And it's a possible great tool to teach the youth how the Sun came to be, or how the Universe began and so forth, as well being a fun tool to show them how cool but yet "scary" if you take that in a deep perspective view of how a large asteroid could impact the entire inhabitable world within minutes of impact. Other than that, it's very amazing and worth it.

Have fun exploding planets and understanding how it works, go on, give it a try I would guarantee that you would enjoy this. But take this note in further advances; It will be confusing and hard to follow if you don't know how simple gravity works and how the basic core mechanics work as well. I strongly suggest doing the tutorial for best enjoyment later on.

Despite some pro's and con's about the game, this is a "Sid Meier's Civilization" game for Adults or some sort of typical human such as yourself. Conquer civilizations through war, annex your vassals. Do whatever you can to conquer the world. Surely you'll think its too complex, but, just remember its like a Pilot's cockpit, most of those gadgets and gizmos you don't really need to press every second to minute, only few times per hour depending on your playing-style. Be careful about conquering the world, next-door neighbors would get very very angry despite their Dumb-like AI and would try to do everything they can to, well, fail at it. Literally..
All is best, conquer the world, colonize the world, stand the test of time from ~1444 to ~1821 or so, unless you have the famous Extended-Timeline mod that basically extends the start/end dates, around ~58 (can be lowered to 2) all the way to the future as in year 9,999 AD.

I suggest getting tons of mods just to op the heck out of the world and cause pure chaos as any would do. I still require additional pylons for this game in order for the great Roman Empire to conquer the galaxy. (͠· ͜ʖ ͡ ·)

*2018 Update: After chuggin' through countless playthroughs in eu4, modded or unmodded, this was an ejoyable game to say for the least. Albeit, the various issues that most people claim are the most vital issues--at least what I would think are vital--in terms of "atmospheric" gameplay, but overall the game works and that's what I like. I'd like to go with my own saying, "If the product works, that's a start. If the product works flawlessly, that's a finish."
This, saying in terms of meaning, means that if a product works, even if it is riddled with bugs, glitches, etc., it's a start which could be refined further enough to become a finished product. And if the product works flawlessly, meaning that all the major glitches and annoying bugs are fixed, albeit the possibility of minor - fixable - bugs/glitches, this would be considered a "finish," however the product can still be refined via patches, dlcs, etc. In the end, this game is a jewel that belongs in the hands of those who seek alternative or somewhat historical adventures throughout a world that invites a worthy emperor, or president, for global domination.
