I would recommend this game as a phenomenal example of "Games as Art" or perhaps "Art as Games" but that would be underselling this to SUCH an irresponsible degree.

Hylics 2 is a start to finish thrill that absolutely blew away all of my expectations I had coming from the first game. This is a tight little package that accomplishes everything it sets out to do with absolutely brilliant pacing, something is always stringing you along and keeping you going.
The new 2D on 3D style and fantastic battle animations were an absolute stunner, each new fight became a showcase for undiscovered enemies and animations that I couldn't help but marvel at. The sculpted universe and relaxed atmosphere coupled with the jump/dash platforming made for a world that was a joy to experience and climb around on and any small issues I had with platforming from an isometric perspective were incredibly forgivable given there are no high-stakes jumps you'll be making.

Saying anything more without spoiling the experience would be difficult. If the game has piqued you interest or maybe even just the art style has snagged your attention, YOU. WILL. NOT. regret giving this game your time.
