For 3 dollars, you can't pass this up. It's a lot of fun, has some genuinely scary moments, as well as some silly ones, and looks fantastic graphically. The gameplay loop is fun and simple, perfect for fans of spot-the-anomaly type games. My only complaint is that there are some inconsistencies with what constitutes "haunted" and "clear" that set up some road blocks for me, but once I memorized what the correct option was, I was able to see this through to the very end. I will admit, those inconsistencies frustrated me a bit, but not enough to sour the whole experience. I had a lot of fun with this, and I recommend it for fans of these types of games!

Just played an hour of this and uncovered 33/164 anomalies. Pretty fun experience! Turning the jump scares on definitely added some extra anxiety, and it is nice that you can toggle them on or off. They don't add anything to the gameplay other than an occasional fright that happens unexpectedly, which can be fun for a little while. This is a very easy spot-the-difference horror game with most of the changes being obvious. I would like to see a bit more variety when it comes to anomalies, but what I really enjoyed was that the anomalies seemed to get scarier and scarier the more I played. Seeing as I still have over 130 to get before 100%-ing the game, I'm hoping the scary side of this game continues to ramp up over time. Overall, a fun, simple, casual game for people who enjoy spot-the-anomaly style horror games!

Dollmare provided excellent tension throughout while not relying on overtly in-your-face jump scares. The game is pretty linear, and doesn't waste the player's time. I love the fact that new defects are introduced as the game progresses, along with ways to detect them. I only managed to get one ending in about two hours and will likely be playing through this again someday to try for the other one. Great experience overall, kind of an oddly calming experience when it's not subtly creeping the player out with strange events.

Just got done with the Spa level, and after having played that and the Cabin level from the demo, I can say that this is showing a lot of promise for being the best installment in the series yet in my eyes. While the colorized cameras kind of remove the spooky charm from the original game, and there's no option that I can find to toggle between black and white and color, that is genuinely the only "complaint" I have so far. The anomalies in this game are far stranger than what I'm used to, and far more frequent, with a lot of them being particularly subtle and hard to spot the first time around. That being said, there is a healthy balance between subtle anomalies and extremely surreal obvious ones, and they're spread out nicely throughout each run. There seem to be more intruder appearances and they're overtly terrifying and bizarre. The game overall has become quite a bit more challenging, but not in a way that feels unfair or frustrating. Each time I lost it just made me want to hop right back in and try to beat the level, and each anomaly that I found gave me a huge sense of relief. This installment definitely drives up the paranoia in a way I haven't felt before in any other Observation Duty game, and I'm so excited to play every level the game has to offer!

I'll be leaving a positive review, because there's a lot to like about this game. However, I also have some issues with it. I'll start with what I liked:

The graphics are stellar! The game looks really good and runs amazingly. The scares in the game are effective, some even slightly comedic, which made exploring the map pretty fun for a while since I wasn't sure exactly what I was gonna see next. The objective is simple and clear, find 5 dead bodies before daybreak and try not to make too much noise. It helped to immerse me in the gameplay quite a bit knowing that being too loud could result in a game over.

What I didn't like:

The map is really big, without many distinguishing features to help guide the player towards points of interest where bodies could potentially spawn. The forest environment sort of all looks the same, with some parts seeming to repeat, which made me wonder if I was somehow running in circles when I was just holding W and keeping the mouse straight. A good portion of the jump scares kept repeating for each run I tried, and after a while, it became pretty predictable and significantly lost its scare factor. On top of that, while I do like the inclusion of some jump scares actually being able to game over the player, there were a number of times where that would happen seemingly out of nowhere, which was incredibly frustrating when I was on page 4/5 and couldn't figure out what I did to cause my death, since all I was doing was just running through the woods in complete silence looking for the next body. It's made significantly more frustrating knowing that a game over just means you must start from the very beginning again. That got old pretty quick.

I know it seems like I have more negative things to say than positive, but ultimately, I do see a staggering amount of potential with this game! It's fun, scary, sometimes funny, and has a decently entertaining gameplay loop that made my first few runs very enjoyable. It's just the next 5 or 6 runs that started to feel like a chore. I think tightening up the flow of the game, making it so that the forest actually gives some sort of cues more often to lead the player to new environments, would help tremendously in making this game even more enjoyable. I'm hoping the devs do some tweaking to this game so that it feels less like a chore at times.

While this game doesn't do anything particularly new when it comes to a walking-sim-esque horror game, I will say the atmosphere is very well done, the overall style adds to the horror, the scares are effective without just being purely annoying screamers, and there were some puzzle-ish elements added to the game that made it stand out among similar experiences. Not too sure what the lore or story is about, but if you're looking for a half hour of spooky atmosphere, this game will do the trick! Well done!

Full disclosure, this is a very jump scare heavy game. Usually that puts me off a bit, but that was absolutely not the case here. Gripping atmosphere, interesting yet simple story, straightforward gameplay that smoothly leads you to the next areas, great visuals, and the best part... DOG. In all seriousness, this was a lot of fun for such a short experience. I recommend it!

Just finished up the game, and I have to say, this does a lot with the original concept of the previous game, The Complex: Found Footage, but bumps it up x10. Graphics are very nice, the game ran super smooth and without issue right off the bat, and the variety of locations and how you get to them feels more natural and engaging overall. There's even something to be afraid of while playing. While that was sort of present in the previous game, this one had some truly standout, obviously scary moments that still kept the overall "calm" feel of the game in tact. The story also wraps up very nicely, though there isn't much in the way of story aside from the very beginning and the very end. I still felt satisfaction out of the way it all tied up.

I only ran into a few issues, which is to be expected in an early access game that came out less than 2 hours before I played it. The developer also seems to be very attentive to fixing bugs, but I'll list the ones I encountered here. The first bug was that the mouse sensitivity became nonexistent when I would try to change graphics settings. It required a restart of the game, and during the very beginning portion, there's no way to save the game so it required me to fully restart a few times, which was a bit frustrating. However, after getting all my settings to where I wanted them to be, this was no longer an issue. I assume this will be one of the first bugs to be squashed.

The next one was when I ran into a dark area of the backrooms, and seemingly fell into the ground. I could hear myself running, but couldn't see anything. I had to restart the game, but luckily it started me off at a checkpoint, so I was able to hop right back into the experience.

The last was more towards the end of the game, I ran into an area that looked pitch black, aside from a visible floor underneath me that I almost ran off of. I'm not totally sure, but I assume if I had ran off the floor, I would've fallen off the map.

Aside from those 3 bugs, the rest of the game was a joy to get through. A fantastic walking sim with a lot to see and explore, and many branching paths with seemingly multiple exits into new levels. I will be playing more of this soon because the levels are MASSIVE, and I'm almost certain there are things that I missed. Great work on this one, I recommend this game!

Playing this game is like willingly slapping yourself in the face every once in a while. Been playing for a week or so, barely scratched the surface of this game. I keep falling. It sucks.
The worst part is that the game is really fun and addicting for me. Falling just makes me want to get the upper hand on the game when I try to go up again. It never works.
The game looks really nice and runs perfectly for me, though the music and the text to speech voice can be a bit annoying. I feel it's fair in its difficulty for the most part, it's a game about developing "muscle memory" in a way that somewhat mirrors Getting Over It. When you fall, it causes you to make changes in the way you approach the jump that you fell at. That keeps happening over and over until you can blast through parts of the game you were struggling with an hour prior.
Overall, I've been enjoying my time playing this, and will continue playing to try and get to the top. I'm not great at these types of games, but I enjoy the challenge and the feeling of making it to the top. I'd recommend this game for anyone who's into this sort of thing. It's very enjoyable once you get past the anguish of repeatedly falling.

This was such a great addition to the growing collection of fantastic Chilla's Art games! I loved the format of this one, going floor to floor had me very excited to see the interesting things that were ahead. Some solid scares in here as well. The pacing of the game was fantastic and simple to get through, and the story, along with the endings, gave me a good sense of closure upon finishing the game. It's a bit of a shorter game, able to be fully completed in about an hour, but I was on the edge of my seat for the majority of the time. I highly recommend this one to any fans of Chilla's Art!
