If I would be asked: "What is your favourite open world game?"

Its hard, either Stalker CoP or SoC, but both Stalker games are outrageous, when I first played stalker I had it on the pc of my dad 2011 and didnt knew what it was it just was in the steam library, so I tried it out and I was confused aswell when I played metro first time. I just wanted to play a bit.
Then 3 years after I saw it on my PC steam library, so I played it again, and I got so deep in the world, the NPCs were so lively.
I got really in the story and in Mayor Degtarew and I did the most I can and got all good things you could get and got the best ending I could,
even Zulu survived which is hard if you tried to get to pripyat.

But what makes it such an great open world?
Stalker SoC and CoP are great if it counts on NPCs the acting Is very good it feels like it is an really depressed world.
It is outrageos in every aspect of the game. I love to play with mods but, in Stalker? No no no. Doing the story over and over again is great
because everytime in another play trough I find new things which is awesome, when the mission with the crate to bring it to a stalker,
I saved once and then I took the best stuff I could and loaded again to see what is better than the other.
I love STALKER because the world is so lively even though its dead. The characters writing is outrageous. I personally cried at the end of CoP when Degtarew became a legend and helped the Stalkers out, I was so deep in the story I cried like a little baby. As you may or may not know there is a stash system,
You can find PDAs of Stalkers and look at them for stashes or people tell you some or you may just run over them thats really good.

Is the S.T.A.L.K.E.R franchise dead?
NO! Stalker 2 will come 2022 or 2021 maybe 2023 or higher which im really hyped for! And if you really are such a person, then why dont install
Stalker Anomaly? or Call of Chernobyl? Great mods. I know the times when I was on the Stalker wiki for hours and hours. Stalker is such a great game it really gave me an outrageous game experience, Stalker was THE first game I loved. SoC and CoP also still get mods that are beeing updated which is really cool and the r/stalker is also lively which is impressive for such an old game.

So..? What do I mean?
Stalker is one of the best Open Worlds and the darkest depressing settings. The characters feel so real.
Stalker gets you into that world after a few hours. All the decisions you didnt knew were bad, at the beginning of CoP you had a choice to do a mission, gave by sultan.
And if you do that, the ending already changed in 5 minutes of playing the game, but... what if you betrayed the bandits on the mission? Well. The ending changes again.
So STALKER deserved all the fame.

My personal Opinion
Stalker was one of the first games I ever played and the first game giving me a reason to play games, for 2009 CoP was outstanding, it had this talent which got me into it.
For me Stalker is the best open world games. Even the best game I ever played I am a huge stalker fan. CSG Game World, good job. Cheers.
