The Finals is one of the most underrated team-FPS game. While all of your friends are sweating in other games like Warzone and Apex legends, the Finals bring a refreshing change to the typical competitive FPS gameplay mechanics such as destructible environment and class based player system.

What is the Finals?

The Finals is a free-to-play competitive FPS where players, known as the "contestants" battle in various team-based game modes on maps with a destructible environment.

What makes the final so fun?

It's the opportunity to be creative in every game. With multiple loadouts providing vastly different play styles, players also known as contestants in the game can choose to be a stealthy light or gun blazing heavy with the light machine gun, the choice is yours.

Gun play is punchy and designed to be different with each of the three classes, namely "light", "medium", and "heavy". It is satisfying to kill an enemy, you'll know what I meant once you try it.

Interesting game modes, though more content is required

The available game modes such as "Cashout" is unique to the Finals where 4 groups of 3 contestants are competing to extract the most "cash" in the Arena to win the match. There are also other game modes such as "Powershift", a typical push the payload, similar to TF2/Overwatch payload game mode as well as the recently added "Terminal Attack" which is highly similar to typical SnD without healing, equipment and no health regeneration. These game modes are unique on their own and complement the class based system in the game

Monetisation, Micro transactions, and progression

The Monetisation is really good and fair. The microtransactions in Finals are one the most appealing skins I've seen in FPS games. Best part is that it's all cosmetics, none of it is pay-to-win. You can earn everything in game by playing it - though it'll take some time to unlock everything

Verdict

I would really recommend you to TRY THE FINALS right now as it is free-to-play offers a unique and refreshing take on competitive FPS games.
