Super fun gameplay, it's satisfying to speedrun it the way the game intends you to.

One thing I wish it had is quick reset button (e.g. R key) to the current checkpoint, especially for the Hard Mode of the 1st stage - the distances between checkpoints are challenging and when I get hit in the beginning especially I wish I had a reset button R to quickly reset the level and start with max health again, otherwise the run is ruined (I won't get to the next checkpoint damaged on the first obstacles already). Currently you either need to stay in the fire for like 10 seconds to die or go to Esc menu, press Restart, reload the level and watch the intro animation AGAIN - either gets you out of the flow. Having a quick reset key would be a great QoL! Even for normal levels if you fail some easy obstacles just pressing R to go back to the checkpoint on full health (e.g. grab the Skull next to the checkpoint, get to the checkpoint again at 20% hp - instead of intentionally dying to get to full heatlh just press R to reset to full and move on).

Lies of PEAK DLC - the shadow drop of the century

Only for hardcore fans. The game is not terrible, just terribly boring and checklist RPG style with fetch quests and not a lot of depth. There are good moments, but mostly boring and meh. It's okay for 10-15 bucks, 6/10 at best

UPDATE (after 100% achievements):
Easily Game of the Year
9.9/10 score - minor flaws, but it masterfully delivers on everything it set out to do. The best game OST ever created.

Update after 100% achievements (69 hours):
This is by far the best gameplay I've ever experienced in a game. The best action game ever. Highly recommend this game to people who play for the gameplay; the story and music are decent; level design is linear and fun to explore, but still linear.


Update after 24 hours of gameplay:
I love it even more than in the beginning. This game is truly one of a kind. The amount of effort put in this game to be that flawless, bug-free and with epic bosses (many with 4 phases/2 HP bars and long epic cinematics between phases) is insane. No game will come even close to the level of fluidity and smoothness in the combat in this game for another decade.

Orignal early-access review:
Peak from the genre. Easily beats Lies of P and so far it plays better than Sekiro with higher stakes combat and similar smooth parry system. This game is easily my favorite from the genre.
