Neat little game!

I haven't played much of Battleborn, but after a story mission and a game of versus, I can already tell you everything that's wrong (and great) about the game. I'd like to get this out to anyone on the fence while the game is so cheap (s/o humblebundle). I'll break it down to the pros and cons.

Pros: Story
Voice acting
Art
Gameplay (If you've ever played SMNC that's a great comparison if not then think smite)

Cons:
Small community
Bad matchmaking (I was level 2 facing off a team of level 100's)
Balancing Issues (Some heroes are stupid)
And of course for ANYONE who paid full price for the game, Microtransactions.

So why am I giving this a positive review? Because making a Moba is hard as ♥♥♥♥. It takes time to work out balancing, establish a community, etc. etc. There have been several Mobas in the past years that completely tanked before they had a chance to take off. Making a triple a moba was a risky move for Gearbox (or any company) and so far it hasn't paid off. It's unfortunate that they didn't go straight to f2p with micropay because we'd likely be looking at a much, MUCH different game with a very different reception from players. Anyway, point is, pick this game up. The story mode alone is worth what it's selling for atm. The more people play and communicate with the devs, the better this game will come to be. So, make the investment and keep a game with SO MUCH POTENTIAL alive. You'll be glad ya did, and even with it's issues, you'll still have a blast with it.

A fun little CRPG that palys more like Fallout than anything. Story, graphics, and voice-acting are subpar (as expected from an indie), but the gameplay is solid. Worth picking up for $20, but wouldn't pay any more than that.

Playing as a dinosaur feels clunky and awkward. Larger dinos periodically interrupt, or pervert the movements of smaller dinos. Trapper class counters all smaller dino classes which is just part of the bigger problem of classes not being balaneced. Humans have much more fluid movements, but aren't nearly as enjoyable to play. If I get stuck on the human side, I find myself just waiting for the match to end. Getting stuck on terrain is also a big issue. Graphics are extremely dated by 2012 standards and the textures are really unappealing, limited maps, and gamrmodes, soundtrack is dull, etc. etc. I'd say the biggest problem is that no one plays, but I really can't blame them. It's a bad game. I've honestly never even considered refunding a game before, but this one, I really wish I could. Please, don't buy it. I know dinosaurs are rad, but this will just make you feel sad. #makedinosaursgreatagain

'Nice guy' simulator 2015

Pay2win, steam users have been getting stuck at the loading screen for months now and absolutely nothing has been done about it. Screen is flooded with ads, chat flooded with bots, paying for character slots, hackers amok, etc.

Gameplay? It's okay, but it lacks difficulty. All in all, not worth putting up with all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
