Get This Over Back 4 Blood
No zombies unfortunately, but major dev passion behind this. Its 2GB and can go from running on a semi-potato to looking pretty good with some reshade tweaks. The gameplay is very fun, a fusion of L4D or Vermintide horde-style gameplay and a minecraft-esque voxel destruction/mining system for objectives. All content is included in the base game with the exception being DLC skin packs. The maps are procedurally generated, which keeps things fresh, and the biomes feel very unique from one another. There are four classes with different specializations, their own upgradable weapons, a load of manly dwarf cosmetics, and a global perk tree. Also you can scale the difficulty from a breezy beer-night cake walk, to an intense cheek clencher -- but I think the game is best at Hazard 4 (successful most of the time with randoms, but still a lot of intense moments and big waves) once you get used to it and level a bit.

You can easily get 100+ hours of game time on this, although I might fizzle out on the cosmetic grind sooner than say Vermintide 2. Its definitely worth $30 and if you see it on sale then it's a steal. As others have mentioned the community in here is excellent and chill. I haven't had a lot of people use mics but everyone works together. Contextual ping system and character callouts covers everything basically. In 300 hours I've had one troll, he dug the team to the center of the earth and somehow I dug back to the drop-pod before I fell too far down so we still won anyway. The only thing I will note is before buying it I had heard/read the game was cross-platform (I think maybe Skill-Up YT review). I don't see it in the description here, but to clarify, it's not for the Steam version. It is crossplay between Xbox One and Win10 Store only. There is a ton of players and I don't have a problem finding games even at 5a GMT, but it is worth noting if you are trying to play with friends/family on XBone.

New content comes at a quarterly-ish pace. A recent update added 4 new primary weapons and a pretty cool new faction and mission type. My only disappointment was the deep dives. I thought they were going to be a long run deep down in some big crazy cave networks and maybe a new exxxtra deep biome. However, they're just three missions strung together with persistent resources/ammo/health. They're fun and give good rewards (plus weapon upgrades and cosmetics), but a single mega mission/objective would be a bit cooler and add more variety imo. One cool aspect though is deep dives reset weekly and are roughly the same for everyone, so sometimes it's cool to see if a buddy beat the Elite Dive or complain about the hard parts with randoms :D Just don't drink and dive.

EDIT: After playing Aliens Firestorm (which is good, not great, but good) I do want to also give a brief mention of the AI. Especially considering the entire map is destructible, the pathing and spawning in DRG are well done. Enemies attempt to flank and circle the player when they attack - even climbing down low hanging rocks, pillars, or along the ceiling to drop down on you. A massive swarm on Hazard 5 can look like a scene right from Starship Troopers. Spawns are also spread out well, sometimes close (mainly in dozer missions), sometimes far. Higher difficulty scales everything -- the # of enemies, dmg/HP, types of enemies, ammo you mine etc, whereas Aliens it's basically ramp up the players' dmg taken and make enemies bullet sponges. It was pretty glaring that Aliens uses 95% static spawns and pathing after coming from DRG.

Love that the game still gets pretty juicy content updates and seasonal skins that can be earned anytime.

Hi there. Thanks for your tips about Nioh.

I don't find the game particularly difficult, but my frustration stems from the poor PC porting. I'd prefer a fully polished product rather than one that feels incomplete.

Currently, Nioh 2 is on my wishlist, but considering the issues with Nioh 1's PC port, I did some research. Unfortunately, it appears that similar problems persist with Nioh 2. I suppose I'll steer clear of the second installment as well. I'd rather invest my valuable time into better games like BG3.

P/S: Holy cow, your PC specs is incredible!

Thx mate. Yep, will have to try Scottfield Spitfire instead of the Officer. It was good after fresh prestige. Getting to rank 38 wasn't hard. For Spitfire you need to play with simple Scottfield to unlock it. The funny thing is that Bornheim now unlocks earlier than Officer. Maybe I will play with it or New Army from now on. :hunter0:
