The story is intriguing and funny, so it has that going. But holy ****, the controls are so horrendously bad I can't even push myself to play any more of it. I really wanted to finish it, but I just can't with this game.

Imagine doing parkour and time trials with a character that doesn't move like you want to. Combat feels really weird too and gets boring after a while. Just spamming a few attacks. The parry is also insanely overpowered because you can just spam it, and it will always just count. Even when you're in the middle of an attack.

Walking/sprinting feels really, really slow. Even mounted, you don't feel like you're barely going forward.

Wanted to love it, but I can't be bothered. The price says it all, tbh. I can't believe this has such a good rating.

It had so much potential... Don't bother.

Edit: Laughing way too hard at the absolute crying white-knight, man-babies gaslighting the people who bought it that were expecting it to be a decent, playable game. Because we didn’t do our homework on a game? Please grow up.

$30 for this is scandalous. If any decently popular game did this, it would cause an outrage on all platforms. Can you imagine GTA 6 dropping an early access version where you can spawn stuff in a tiny sandbox and then asking for full price? Of course not. It’s completely dumb. You’d at least expect to be able to run around a city and drive a car.

The only reason this game has positive reviews is that it’s not popular enough to attract new players. Most, if not all, of the sales come from hardcore fans who will take anything from the devs and defend it no matter what.

I bought this because I enjoyed the first one years ago and wanted to try it again with better graphics. I even almost convinced friends to buy it, but I found this such pathetic build of the game that I refunded it. I bet most of the negative reviews are from people with similar experiences.

Watch people continue to say this is our fault. 🤡

♥♥♥♥ dead game

I finally decided to give this game a try with my girlfriend. And we love it and we're having fun. But then we reached the Dank Crypt and got instantly spawn-killed about six times because ♥♥♥♥ RNG and probably being under-leveled. But we manage to get past it and finish the rest of the area fairly easily.

When we try to leave using the ladder at the end, it says: "out of reach" (and yes, we pulled the lever, and the ladder came down). Which forced us to fast travel (which we didn’t even know we could do at that point) or be soft-locked. Completely ruining the immersion at that point.

Like seriously? A 2-year-old game with bugs like this at the very start? I bought the game twice (for me and my girlfriend), so I paid 120 euros just to get spawn-killed by RNG and get bugs after not even one hour of playing the game...

We will be playing further but this set my expectations way lower for this "critically acclaimed" game everyone is so obsessed over...

Micro review

I can't understand how, even small games, in 2024 don't have the option to rebind buttons. Even if it's just the arrow keys. Perhaps make a mouse only option.

Also big rng and you die in 1 hit on floor 0.

I'm gonna wait it out. Seems promising. However, I did enjoy my time playing. Try it for yourself.
