gmod is a game specifically for modders and is perfectly bearable as a source sandbox without mods, that isn't comparable to a game that has so many horrible features and anti-player mechanisms you need mods to make it playable for long periods of time

i like the game but i cant in good faith recommend other people download it as a good game because it's very much an aquired taste that requires work by the player to make bearable

zomboid is bearable only because of mods
