A wonderful monster collector with interesting monster designs. The team building has far more going for it than initially expected. Early levels make it easy to begin the game and figure out strategies, with difficulty ramping up quickly as levels increase. I've enjoyed playing this game immensely and recommend it to anyone who wants a challenging experience.

There are a lot of cool guns and mechanics that have appeared over the years that made some first person shooters really fun. Ultrakill has every single gun and mechanic you can think of, blended well and plays so smoothly. If you like pulling off cool trick shots, the satisfaction of overcoming a challenge, or just like shooting coins, there is no better game for you to play.

I would recommend this game as a interesting puzzle game that requires some thinking to get around, and also has an interesting story playing in the background.
The controls using a mouse can be a little off or sensitive in weird ways, which is something to consider.

It made the deckbuilder rouge-like popular. A total blast to play (just look at play times). The mods that accompany this game only add to it..... Truly an amazing experience/worthwhile purchase.

Really fun design, and well thought out with how to approach each map. For some of the more challenging events, it is necessary to learn more about the rts or city building side, but can easily play the game at your own pace. Learning the maps, and finding what you enjoy the most in the game is the key item which feels so refreshing. If anyone wants a relaxed rts/city builder, this is an easy recommendation.

Really fun twists on how each faction can play the game, and the interactions that you have with the world itself. Makes every game feel different, unique and doesn't directly rely on world generation for that. I played a lot before realizing I never wrote this review so...... Yeah I like it a lot

I love this game. No faction plays exactly the same, and really enforces different play styles, and emphasis on different aspects of it. The asymmetric balance is feels really fun, especially since you can learn what each faction might be focused on if you want to stop/prevent/annoy them.

If you enjoy 4x games, this is one that I can high recommend playing.

After some recent balance patches, all of the dlc are also pretty good, but definitely not needed.

Bought it today. Already played 4 hours. Am still thinking about game. Feels like an easy recommend for auto battle/rouge-like enjoyers.

A solid game, especially one that fills a niche that I haven't seen any others take up. It's been fun to play through and definitely takes a bit of effort to get through some levels (and on higher difficulties). I do think that there's a slight lack of complexity in terms of moment to moment decision making, but that is somewhat countered by the randomness of each attempt (just in terms of how strong you are on any given wave). Most maps are not overly complex and are just about getting the right trait combos and getting units leveled up. Not so much about combining certain abilities to get the result you want.
