I bought this when it was sort of like a rogue-like. Go in, collect relics, get super powerful and build a character. Get OP and then die due to your arrogance. Great with friends.

Now its an action RPG, similar to Diablo. If you like that, then go for it.

The reason it took me so long to give a review was that I tried so hard to enjoy the new version of the game. Just isnt right for me. I decided to give it a negative review since it feels like I was cheated out of a game that I originally bought. Like imagine buying a game like ARK, and then it suddenly updates and changes to a game like Fallout 3. Both are good in their own ways, but you didnt buy a game like ARK to play Fallout 3, you bought it to play a game like ARK.

Update: I saw a few of the reviews mentioning how some of the devs have been handling the feedback of the changes. Basically it just sums up to them saying "lol deal with it". After enough research, I have found this to be true. Yeesh

A wonderful game that made me realize that I want more sci fi souls-likes.
Sure the game is a bit clunky and rough around the edges but it has its charms. I have thoroughly enjoyed playing this game with a friend as we uncovered secrets and shared out little techniques to deal with any foe we faced.
A few of my gripes about the game is that the parkour in it isnt well optimized, some achievements seem like major time wasters, and that I wanted more stuff in the game.
Though the hours I had playing it was still a lot of fun. Especially learning how to one-shot certain bosses (that was a blast). I hope to see more from this series, because I cant wait to see how it would grow.

Really fun game, that the developers put a lot of love into it. Too bad the publishers ruined that for a lot of people.
If you want more context, just look at the other reviews. A real shame...

Only recommend this if you want to support the devs.

$9.99 for 15:17 of music is not a good deal in my opinion. Here is to hoping they add more.

This game is a 10/10 in my opinion. The game is a great example of what happens when a gaming company actually cares about their game and their community.
Heck, even the mods that the community are making are amazing. I want to try them all- but I sadly dont have enough time to play.

To summarize how I feel about the game, i'd like to share a small story.
One day I wanted to play Conan Exiles, or anything Conan the Barbarian related because I am autistic and it was my hyper-focus. Suddenly, I thought about what it would be like if Conan was a DnD character. Then I made him in Baldurs gate and I now have a favorite build.
In case you wanted it:
2 levels in barbarian
3 levels in rogue (thief archtype)
The rest in Fighter (im going for champion)

This game has a lot of potential. The mechanics feels well thought out and I get excited to just simply play and mess around. I have not felt this way in a long time with an Open world RPG. Its like playing Skyrim for the first time and getting excited you could do something either through a glitch or abusing a mechanic in the game. Bloodline says, "Go for it" and lets you mess around and just simply have fun. I will update this and change the review as the updates roll in. For now- this is around the 10/21/2023 update (Hotfix #3). This game does need some work but if it continues the way it is- its going to be an amazing game.
Currently I am having issues with the game- mostly it stuttering or lagging constantly or plainly crashing. I do not know if its an optimization issue or if its my failing graphics card.
