p good

EDIT: 11/5/23, switching to a negative review because of the BS that is $70 MW3.

Do not buy this for the MW3 campaign. Wait for a sale if you're interested in the multiplayer or zombies. The campaign is not worth the extra price. Out of 15 missions, maybe three or four are linear, bombastic set pieces like we see in previous CoD titles. The rest are "Open Combat" missions, of which feature small, non-linear, DMZ-style gameplay. The impression I get from this campaign is that it was thrown together last minute so they could charge $70 for a full package.

STORY SPOILERS BELOW:

This game features no WW3 backdrop, no nuclear threat, hardly any global threat, hardly any stakes, and no "Battle of DC" story like MW2 had. Characters hardly ever die and even when they do, they're somehow alive again so they can sell Warzone skins (and I say that as someone who enjoys and has put hundreds of hours into Warzone.) There are some highlights in the experience, but even a broken clock is right twice a day.

Some of the best gameplay the series has seen since Reach. All-in-all, Halo Infinite plays like a spiritual successor to Halo 3. Sadly, limited customization, limited multiplayer playlists, and the same rampant microtransactions that plague the rest of the gaming landscape these days hold this game back from being truly incredible. However, I'm leaving a positive review because I'm faithful much of this will change in time.

2023 Edit:
I still feel like this is the best the gameplay has ever felt in the franchise. Nowadays, we have an amazing community that creates incredible, intricate multiplayer maps and game modes that 343 actively includes in weekly playlists that my friends and I have the best time playing. At the very least, do yourself a favor and try the multiplayer. It's free! If you loved Halo 3, (and by god 343 if you know what's good for you, keep this playlist in) play Squad Battle. Otherwise, the campaign really could use a discount. Even $30. It's very good, really, but not for $60 standalone.

Very underrated. The first few quests feel like a slog, but build to things that feel much more rewarding. The core gameplay feels very similar to Fallout 4, but with better roleplaying options (both in terms of gameplay/build mechanics and dialogue/choices made.) Best played with friends

Haven't finished the game yet, but I can already say this is easily the best VR game I've ever played. I loved Blade & Sorcery, and I have over 100 hours in Pavlov, but neither of those can hold a torch to this one. The physics-based gameplay is unparalleled, the guns feel great, and the experience itself is amazingly immersive. The narrative of the game is very engaging and has that addictive "one more level" feel I had yet to experience in any other VR game (or many other games in general). I highly recommend this title, and for $30, it's an absolute steal.

Early Access Review
There are a lot of things I can say about Pavlov VR. Since I began playing VR games, this one has really stood out to me and I always find myself choosing to play it over the others. The guns handle great, the game modes are fun, the people are fun to play with, and the community content is amazing. Updates are semi-frequent; at least one every month or two. As for what could be worked on, I believe a better AI for offline play would be nice, as well as bot support for more game modes (maybe integration with the battle royale mod?). I do believe a more open modding scene could strongly benefit the game, maybe from an SDK release. Custom weapons, skins, and attachments come to mind. Another feature I'd like to see is in-game created custom game modes, featuring weapon restriction, player health, etc. Overall, I've recommended this game to many people and will continue to do so. For $10, this is one of the best "bang for your buck" VR titles available.
