Bad reviews are bonkers. This is a great civ game and will only get better. Yes MP needs implementation, Yes ai is not good on diplomacy. Yes there are bugs. But overall there is so much cool and innovation we should encourage. As some others have said in reviews reminds you a lot of the call to power series.

Have only played the beginning but so far everything is really good. Will update as I play more.

Update 02.10.18 after some 15 hours in the game: Really enjoying the game and giving me a great 3.5 pathfinder experience. Really oldschool fun and probably the best RPG I have played atleast that is my impression so far.

Update 28.10.18: This game is my go to game and i have had so much fun with it. I frankly do not understand the people giving this a mixed review. The implementation of the pathfinder ruleset is very good and this for me is probably even better than baldurs gate was back in the days. It had bugs too you know and we only remember the good parts. And that is my second point yes pathfinder does indeed have bugs but none have been gamebreaking for me. The gameplay and the story of an actual pathfinder campaign is for me really fun and I have enjoyed every hour of playing.

Played this game since set 1. Drafting is fun and balancing. The ladder games are not too tedious and in general it is a game I play on and off pretty much every week and still enjoy. So for what thats worth I think it is a very solid game.

Deep and fun 4x indie game. Strenght lies in the simplification of tedious micro systems and how the focus is on battle and fleet movements. Recommended.

Endless space 2 is complex yet accessible, It has amazing lore, soundtrack, artwork and 4x mechanism. It is supported by developers with a track record for listening to its community and inviting feedback (games2gether platform.) In short Endless space 2 is the best 4x game (base game compared with base game of other 4x games) I have played in 25 years of 4x gaming. For me it is only lacking a good hall of fame system (Hopefully coming.)

Great strategy game that is easy to play but hard to master. Would be fantastic with mp but I dig the weekly competitions making sp a lot of fun. A nice indie game proving design trumps graphics. I recommend this game to my friends and especially any serious strategy gamers.

Endless legend with all the expansions is in my opinion one of the best 4x games ever made. It is fairly balanced, mp is fun and relativily fast, the AI while not perfect is adequate and the game has interesting mechanisms that makes ever new game a new challange.
