I've played hundreds of hours of this game off Steam, though I've still only ever beaten it once,(Edit, multiple times, now) and I can say, without a doubt, that this is the best roguelike I've ever played, and probably ever will.

The sound design is crisp. Everything has sounds, explosions, shots, deaths, equipping parts, destroying terrain.. Each weapon has an ASCII visual effect that fits well into the game and looks good. The mechanics work well and the story is as deep as the ocean and as wide as the sky, which ties the whole experience together.

Cogmind is not a traditional roguelike, as in there are no levelups, no skills, only parts. You are a machine, and what determines your capabilities are your parts.

Parts can be found in many places and serve many roles, but you can only carry so many. Better pick out what you''ll really need.

But it is still a roguelike. Difficult, back to the beginning each time...the only progression is through your own growth.
It's a good game, packed with content enough for 3 DLC's and a 2.0, not a beta.

The game is a totally unique experience compared to any roguelike i've ever played before.
As you get further and further the game keeps getting harder and harder, more complex with each floor. Your bot could turn into a unstoppable killing machine or a misshapen jumble of random parts, but it'll probably be somewhere inbetween.

Kyzrati/Josh, if you are reading this, thank you for making (and continuing to make) Cogmind. I really like it.

I give the game a 9/10. 10/10 is reserved for Cogmind's full release.

Would recommend. Does not overstay it's welcome, with the game beatable in 3h or less while getting 100% of the combos. The gameplay is interesting, with every new item and catalog adding complexity. Story is memorable, conclusion satisfying, and the resulting experience is great.

Good game. Lots of guns, bullets and targets. Shooty shooty bang bang.

Gamebreaking bug in ranked and casual at the moment where you can become invincible.

Yes, you are guaranteed to take no damage from anything but the death zone, this means you can autowin unles someone else is using the bug.

Wont be mentioning the bug in detail.

Battlerite was not Battleright for me.
