Game's mid but I enjoyed it... Combat's addicting and fusion is much more accessible (no need for a fusion calculator or a guide)... Story felt short tho, feels like what increased my play hours is the side dungeons, but the story is pretty good with their own themes and I specially love the characters

I've played other smt titles and honestly SH2 aint up to par with the other titles, atlus clearly left this project on a new team... but if you stop comparing it to atlus's other titles the game's fine for what it is

Negatives:
Dungeons - Its bland, dead and linear... there's barely any puzzles and I dont count those teleporters as puzzles cause its just trial and error til you get the right teleporter to progress... dead ass you can just hold forward on your controller and your bound to navigate your objective

Price: Game's not worth the price, got the premium on sale and it gave me a complete experience but not worth its non discount price (as of posting this review) and yea, Day 1 DLC that got people a valid reason to be upset about

Fr tho the recap of Yakuza 5 from 6's "Memories" menu provided better information, context and Narrative than the pacing of the game itself... Combat May be good but the Climax heat is flawed as hell for overriding default heat actions you want to perform, Game's story is just a stepping stone for 6 and 7 lmao, if you want to get into this game just zoom through the story proceeding to later installments, grinding the characters was a painful experience that no poor soul should go through

Themes:
This game does not shy away from its politics and its something I can commend them for... You can side your self with Fascist, Liberal, socialist, communist beliefs... it does not restrict what ROLE you wish to play the character as, You can even be a corrupt cop, pretty ballsy but it ultimately gives the player total control

Narrative:
I personally enjoyed the side quest, I did one clean playthrough and it is really impossible to miss anything, that's good quest design and the only obstacle you ever need to worry are the checks(Dialogue/action that's lock and the success % varies on the stat) but hey quicksave is a thing... For the main story I was hooked, and the twists are pretty good having this domino effect of one revelation after another, but the ending fell flat for me, but I did enjoy the overall experience of pursuing the case and doing side quest

Verdict:
Overall it was a nice experience for me, I get to play as a detective, solve cases and the game gives you freedom to be corrupt or a lawful cop, got what I came for... also the game is an RPG but its just mostly lines of texts, it fits more of like a novel and not the Usual RPG games you would get your hands on developed by Bethesda

Peaceful Protest #BLM

My opinion on this game is mixed, but overall I came to a positive conclusion and I will list down the negatives first:

-game drops to 1 fps when using buffs/debuffs and if you have an encounter with more than 4 enemies the game literally freezes and you have to wait it out or the game crashes

-Game stuttering, often times after getting out of a fast travel/save the game runs slowly and audio and frames are stuttering, which can be solved by a quick restart but its really inconvenient to do so since you'll saving and using those features alot

-Price: This is probably the most controversial aspect to this game, despite being loved by fans its the price tag that hinders fans on getting the game on steam, for an 18 year old game with very minor additions (The voiced lines are only from the story) is being sold for almost a price of a Triple A title and splitting the dlc "Maniax" and "chronicles" behind a paywall...

The Positives:
+There are quality of life addition to the game that makes it much more convenient compared to the ps2 version such as getting to choose which skill to inherit... You will get the same experience but the only thing you'll worry is the performance issues (which in my case happens rarely and I have to restart the game everytime)

I appreciate that atlus is making SMT3 more accessible to the people who wants to get into the megaten franchise but I really WISHED they did a better job in making the game run smoothly and didnt capitalize on the people who missed this on the ps2 and they can experience it for the price nearly as of a triple A title...

Hope they learn their mistake on this and future titles wont suffer the same flaws

This game makes Hunt Down the Freeman look playable

The reason you dont wanna die is you'll lose the equipment you invested your hard earned money on

Game's good but unless you dont have the patience to deal with the numerous bugs and glitches rampant throughout the game and i'd highly discourage on getting this game, I keep having to restart my game just to progress good thing there's an auto save feature that loads you to a recent checkpoint
