This game is free, it cannot yank your bank. There is no reason NOT to get it if you have the specs for it. All microtransactions are purely cosmetic, every piece of equipment and gear can be obtained just by playing the game.

It's a free fun time for your steam library, give it a try and if you don't like it then that's that. You lose no money <3

MAJOR ORDER COMPLETE, they pulled back the PSN Account Linking requirement. Reverse the review bomb Helldivers, we've got to keep the Galactic War going now.

A fun little game Wish there was some ambient music or something to break up how quiet it is. The gunplay is very nice and simplistic, however I wish it happened more. I think that there should be way more then 20 players max. Increase it up to 40 or something perhaps. You just don't encounter people often enough. I'd love to get into a big firefight or something.

This game is so far amazing. The artstyle is a personal favorite of mine with 3D pixel art that defines the futuristic Alpha City with it's five maps. The Store, The KillDome, The Factory, The Killhouse, and The Bank. The gameplay is unique with how there are no unique characters or abilities. You have the equipment given to you, guns, ammo, grenades, ect. At the start of each round your team picks what equipment they want to use, and the map can often change up what you grab. If you die with equipment it doesn't restock at the start of the next map.

All equipment lost is final, and only restocks when the teams switch. This works great, as you find yourself considering what to take and what to save. Whether it's worth going all in in hopes for a win, or playing it safe in case you lose and you need it later. The maps help this as well, even though they are randomly generated. Each maps tile sets still encourage a certain type of playstyle. Factory is a heavily long range map, where if the enforcers cut the power with Night Vision they can easily shoot you before you even see them. Best for the defenders to save weapons like the MAWP (one-hit headshot) and their two ingmars (full-auto rifles) for this map. While a map like store's tiles are close-quarters oriented. A smart defender with the auto-shotty can be devastating to the attackers if they use the rooms right. Killdome has rooms where a mix of equipment is best. Rifle defenders can hold up in castle and shoot down at Attackers in other parts of the map, while the jungle has tall grass a devious defender could lurk in with a shotgun. Killhouse has unique tiles that can change the entire map. It can either be a close-quarters nightmare ripe for SMG's and the auto-shotty. Or if you get the carpark tileset, a devious map with long-lanes and parked cars for snipers to hide behind. And the bomb location can affect all of this.

The bomb could be placed in a big open area, or a secluded small room. Could be in the middle of a car-park or hidden away in a vault. The defenders have the advantage of being able to camp and play for time. however, the attackers have 50 more HP then the defenders, and their flashbangs do not affect themselves in the slightest. The attackers don't have to worry about losing their guns as much but they have less variety, they've got enough of their SMG's and pistols for the entire team each round even if everyone dies, they've got four semi-auto silenced rifles, two combat shotguns which are the best pump-action shotgun in the game, and the SAB-R a powerful sniper-rifle with a night vision scope. The defenders have more variety to their guns, with four MP5's (the Gruber-5) two of which unsilenced and two silenced. Two Nac-11's a high fire-rate SMG, two AK-47's with their stocks removed, and two heavy machine guns that use the same ammo as the AK's. They've got 3 semi-auto rifles with ironsights, two full-auto scoped rifles. and one MAWP which one-hit headshots. They got 3 pump-action shotguns, 3 sawed-off shotguns which take up the secondary slot, and one auto-shotty, which is full-auto. They've got two types of pistols, and their only grenade is the molotov cocktail. They've got flares in case power gets cut (4 flares) and barbed wire that slows the attackers. However the attackers has over a dozen flashbangs, four smokes and 2 frag grenades. The two teams are balanced to face eachother in the many different maps and their tile-sets.

Teamwork is KEY, a team that doesn't communicate at all is already doomed to fail unless the enemy is not either. Make plans, follow them, and improvise when they go awry. Work as a team and bang before you clear, so we can stop those punks. Or if you're defending. Hold your angles, stay-alert, and DON'T. GO. OUTSIDE.

Oh and did I forget to mention the MUSIC. It is amaaazing, it plays at the start of every round as you think of your plan the songs unique to each map, and as the attacker truck opens and the Defenders began to reinforce, the music swells before quieting down as the Attackers breach the building. It ensures the charm is never lost and you always feel bad-ass when you pour out of the police-van.

Good luck ARGUS Enforcer, zap those punks for the suits...and if you're one of those said punks, let's show them company CEO's that they don't own this city.

Buy the game when it's on sale, as even I feel the price is too high for what you're getting but trust me. It's a blast, especially if you've got friends to play with.

You are the opposing force, for real this time. Unlike in Half Life: Opposing Force. The game does not expect you to make your character good, you are a cruel, ruthless, sociopath. You are a Civil Protection unit, fighting for the Combine. No teaming up with rebels, like how Shepherd worked with Scientists, and Security Guards in Half Life Opposing Force. Bad Cop is a great evil character, spitting out certain clips of dialogue when killing rebels, and also saying stuff in some of the games scripted moments that really tell you he is cold hearted. Examples:"People Suck" "I'm feeling pretty good about myself today" "Suuuck!" "That's enough out of you." all of these and more have a chance to be said after killing a Resistance member. Vorts are also here as enemies. But most importantly Bad Cop isn't just a person being a CP for better rewards, he actually likes the Combine. But enough about the character the gameplay is great, it IS a hard game, even on easy mode. The game defaults to Hard, that's the intended way to play. The game adds recoil to weapons like the SMG, and Pulse-Rifle. Damage has been scaled up, a lot...weapons have more punch to them, then in Half life. Basically, Guns do more damage. Enemies can put the hurt on, but so can you! Headshots are much more noticable, one shot to the head with a pistol or SMG, and that Rebel dies instantly. Your character can be killed in just one point blank shotgun shot. Which makes sense in lore: You are a CP, not Gordon. You aren't a one man army, you need to play smart. One of the areas, is a stealth section. because unlike Gordon you can't just one man army through a rebel stronghold. Which brings me to the next thing, City 10 is a great area, a city abandoned by the combine, and now a Rebel Stronghold, and you are stuck in it. All alone, an Interloper. Which is why Chapter 1 is called "Interloper" You don't belong here, this is not your element. The game is very polished, and I recommend doing it on Hard Difficulty, for the true Entropy : Zero experience. But if you're not that good at FPS's, or are a more of a casual laid back person, then set it to Normal or Easy if you wish. But even on those difficulties. It's not easy. I rate Entropy : Zero a 9/10 it's not a ten, because one of the sections sucks. But still, it's very polished. And I recommend this game to anybody who is a fan of the Half-Life Series, and remember. You either get a team of tryhards with great teamwork, and communication. Or a rag-tag bunch of chaotic misfits who will poison you, blow up the reactor, burn you with a flamethrower, crash the sub, and everything in between, 10/10 would scuttle my ship again.
