Playing this game was a wonderful experience.
This game is in the same genre as "The Return of the Obra Dinn" and "The Case of the Golden Idol", put puts a very cool twist on it: for the first time instead of being about connecting the dots in murder cases, it's about discovering different civilizations and understanding their language.
Having a very calm pace, a soothing atmosphere, and being not very hard makes it so that you have a relaxed time playing it. But at the same time you want to know what's next, what does the next civilization look like, where do they live, how do they speak, what do they fear.
It's only a 10 hours game and I recommend it to everyone. Also, you can pet the cat.
9/10

This game is amazing, I haven't felt this joyful when playing a game for a long time. It is the best combination of new and old, and it is a love letter to all the series' fans. Unfortunately this means that it cannot be enjoyed by people who haven't played the previous games (expecially the first two), but I did :)
Despite what people says I love the artwork, it's so fresh and colourful and detailed. Everything is perfect, from the locations to the scores, to the puzzles, to the characters, to the dialogues, to the humour. Someone could say that it's too easy, and in fact I think it's the easiest of the series, but I think that this is only because all the puzzles make 100% sense and everything is straight to the point and makes it easier for the player to enjoy himself; there is none of that unimmaginable bs puzzles that make no sense, it is made just to be an enjoyable fun cozy adventure. And it's perfect.
The ending, when he sits on the bench, wraps everything up perfectly. And the letter at the end of the storybook almost made me cry.
10/10 absolute masterpiece

I'm making this review only for the Steam Awards tasks, I'll make a definitive one when I'm done with the game.

The only thing I'll say about TBOIR is that I love that even though the game is so big and full of stuff, you can start playing for the first time even with all the DLCs without feeling overwhelmed even for a second. It does a pretty good job at giving you things a little bit at a time, and it's something that many other roguelites struggle to do.

As an all-time fan of the Mario games, I expected a lot from this game. What I got is a magnificent game with super inspired and really astonishing worlds, but also with some technical problems (freezes and frequent framerate drops, on a high-end pc). Still I recommend everyone to play this game, the music, the level design, the humour, the characters, the mechanics and the platforming, everything is amazing. Not having those technical problems, and being longer (it took me 8 hours to beat the game and will took me a couple more to 100% it), it would have been a masterpiece and one of the best games I ever played. 7/10

This game is broken, it just doesn't work. It's one of those games that make me wonder if they actually played the game before releasing it. The framerate is garbage and it never stays fixed, but that's a trend with the whole series and for this game is really the least important problem. I cannot count how many times I had to reload the game because either Batman got stuck somewhere or some enemy got stuck so I could not kill them and proceed or the zone didn't load or me and the enemies clipped into the code. The AI somehow is worse than the previous games and more often than not the models of the enemies were flying and teleporting across the zone. Everytime I performed a ground takedown the body of the enemy jumped in the air. The fights with the Electrocutioner and Copperhead were just broken. Also it crashed twice with no reason.Besides the technical problems, the gameplay itself is far worse than the previous games. The way they designed the map made so difficult and frustrating to use the grapnel because there are so less points where you can use it. Plus there were too many buildings where you were forced to go below them but there was no visual clue on the buildings themselves so I just kept crushing on them waiting for the grapnel signal to show but it never did; in Arkham City there was just one building you couldn't use your grapnel on but it had barbwire on it so I knew. I really missed the Riddler's riddles of the previous games, instead they put a billion of those cameras which is a really lazy solution. Also I felt like in this game there were a lot more timewasters wrt the previous games: a lot more password decoding, vent opening and engine electrocuting than before, just let me play the game. Except don't, don't make me play that garbage.Bugman Arkham Origins is one of the worst games I've ever played. I know it's not from the original team, but cmon how can this bad of a game be released and so praised by the community?
