Alright before you guys start telling me I suck at this game, listen up:

I have this game on the switch, I prefer playing it on there. I've even made it all the way to ZX Advent.
Just hear me out.

I don't really recommend getting this game on the PC due to the possibility of it having slowdowns on lower end computers. When I had this on my computer, I was essentially playing the ENTIRE game at half speed, and it got boring very quickly.
Not to mention the control schemes on keyboard are just.. why?
I don't have a working controller to plug in though so that may be a fault on my end, but still.

If you have a good enough PC and you are willing to get this game, then by all means, go ahead and get it! It's lots of fun from what I've experienced on the Switch version. However, if you don't have a good PC and you aren't sure how well it will run?

Just stick to the console versions.

This game.. This game is an absolute treat to play.

Great music, great controls (though you'll have to figure out whether keyboard or controller works better for you), tight platforming, and an absolutely awesome story that actually made me smile a few times, believe it or not.

I love this game. And you should too.

Alright, so:
This review used to be a lot shorter, but now that I've 100% the entire game, lemme say this right now--

GO PLAY THIS GAME, IT IS WORTH IT TO THE LAST PENNY.

In this game, you play as Peppino Spaghetti, an italian chef who's running behind on debt, and has to also climb a tower to stop Pizzaface from destroying your restaraunt. Sounds simple, right?

Yeah well that's there the simple part ends, because this game has about 20 levels of pure platforming perfection, all the way down to Peppino's moveset.

And sometimes Gustavo.

The levels have their secrets placed deliberately in the spots they are in, and it feels like the level was MADE for them all. Believe me when I say that finding these secrets is worth the effort. And the ranking system awards this, too, with the highest rank having you find nearly everything in a level as well as doing a 2nd lap of the escape!

... wait, what do you mean there's another rank?

That's right, the P-Rank. Requires EVERYTHING for an S-Rank, with the addition of keeping a combo from the very first room of the level all the way to you getting out of said level. It's a tough challenge, so don't feel bad about opting out. They're worth your time though.

As for bosses, they're a little bit of a unique case. I'm gonna leave you to figure that out, though.

Anyway yeah go buy this game and play it, it's worth your time.

Total time to truly 100%: About 45-ish hours of playtime over the course of two runs through the game.

Alrighty, where do i begin?

Undertale is simply a game where you're not required to kill everyone, and you're rewarded for that.
It awards the good people in life.

But it also rewards the bad, shockingly.


You see, there are three routes, all of which i can't mention here without spoilers.
And this game remembers what you do, which is spooky. And pretty cool. Your moves are documented, and once you do a certain thing, it can't be undone.

EVER.


And the story, oh my god the story. Some of the characters have their lovable quirks (looking at you, sans.), and others.. are literally sticks in the mud. Overall, a really solid roster.

Gameplay's simple, too. You dodge by moving a heart across a schmorgus board of projectiles.
Overall a good game, stop reading and go play.

It's hard, let me say that now.

But every time you lose, you learn something new, and how you can improve.
I like that.

Also MMX inspired.

good stuff, go play it.

This game might look like 2D Minecraft, but rest assured, it's far from it.


You have to try it yourself to truly experience it.
