You know that feeling you had when you first watched the beginning 10 minutes of UP? Or when you remember that one powerful moment in your life that you'll never forget? Or that moment when you simply need to tell the people closest to you just how much they mean to you?
The story isn't an adventure, but you, the player, definitely end up in a different place than where you started. The game leads the player with memories and meaningful symbols to different places, while a change in atmosphere and feelings marks each new setting. You're not on a journey of actions or thoughts, but one of feelings and emotions.
The music captures the emotions perfectly, and holds them better than any words ever could. To say that the OST is beautiful would be a severe understatement.
I could say this game is happy, sad, funny, angry, playful, or bittersweet, and I wouldn't be lying. This game is all of those, but it is also so much more.
To the Moon is a beautiful tapestry woven by threads of indescribable feelings.

It's one of the best indie games I'feather played.

9/10 Really, truly great game... You won't egret it.
-Music is excellent,
-Gameplay is fun and rewarding,
-Difficulty is challenging and can seem BS at times, but it doesn't turn the experience fowl
-Characters are all interesting in their own cuckoo way,
-Story is intruiging and takes a tern for the better
The game is way too short, but in a good way that leaves you wanting to play more.
What's not to like?

CONS-
wasted opportunity for more bird puns (I'm so sorry)

Trivia: apparently a group of owls is a parliament of owls

I would make an unoriginal joke about the amount of hours I've dented into this game, or maybe one about the hundreds of mods I used that eventually broke the game... but I see that about 172,304 people beat me to it.

I just might put another 500+ hrs. into the remastered version once it comes out.

This is the Disney game I never knew I wanted.

Visuals and Audio

The game looks and sounds amazing, the cutscenes are brilliant and the graphics are great in the regular game while they're truly stunning in the definitive edition. The audio is stunning as well. It gives the forest a vibrant, full of life feeling that other games rarely deliver. The sound effects are top notch, The little sound that Ori makes when he gets hurt is heart-breaking. Also, the sounds of other animals in the background add to the forest's beauty.

Gameplay

The gameplay is very fun, exciting and a great platformer with new powerups and mechanics that you discover throughout the game that let you explore new areas of the map so the more you play the funner it gets. (and yes, funner is a word) The worst thing about the game though, is that you should expect to die. A lot. The game itself is moderately difficult, so don't expect to get through it in a couple of lives. Especially since it gets extremely difficult at times and it can be very frustrating as some events have no checkpoints so you could spend an hour trying to get through one difficult part. Thankfully there aren't too many mind-numbingly difficult areas and deaths from these "random difficulty spikes" don't really feel cheap or unfair. Other than that, the game plays really nice with very tight controls for quick reactions, especially with a controller.

Story

I'm not going to spoil much for the story because it's one of the best parts of the game and it's full of breathtaking moments. The story is brilliant and it spurs a lot of different emotions, excited, sad, joyful... Overall the game is truly moving and it's a fantastic experience that I will not forget.
