Phasmaphobia is a great game with friends and for people like me who normally don't like to play horror games. Game tries to scare you with the environment, whether some random doors shutting or opening, phones ringing or just with absolute silence, which is a plus in my book over some lazy jumpscares. Thanks to the fact the game actually listens to you immerses you even and has resulted to me literally holding my breath inside a closet, hiding from the ghost hunting. Sadly I got pretty quickly used to this situation which takes the horror and terror away pretty quickly.

One of the biggest downsides is replayability
Right now you'll really quickly learn exactly what to do with every game and wont really have any problems except with taking pictures and getting dirty sinks. Every playthrough really handles the same: Find ghost, Haul all detection equipment -> find out type of ghost, do the other three simple tasks like throwing salt around or burning some hemp. Different ghost types don't really mix up the gameplay, because their different characteristic don't really matter. "Oh no, this poltergeist throws more ♥♥♥♥ around even though that really doesn't do anything".
Adding to that there are not that many maps so thing do become a habit pretty quickly.

In the end the games pretty fun to play with a couple of friends, but might get boring or stale quite fast.
