The Dragons & The Hero – Artowrk of Ichiban Kasuga, Kazuma Kiryu, and Ryuji Goda’s Tattoos

Yakuza Characters:

Kazuma Kiryu –
The Dragon of Dojima. Protagonist of the Yakuza series (1–6, Like a Dragon Gaiden). His dragon tattoo symbolises power, wisdom, and his unbreakable will.

Ichiban Kasuga –
The Underdog Hero. Protagonist of Yakuza: Like a Dragon and Infinite Wealth. His dragonfish tattoo symbolises growth, resilience, and his journey to becoming something greater.

Ryuji Goda –
The Dragon of Kansai. Antagonist of Yakuza 2/Kiwami 2. His golden dragon tattoo symbolises dominance, strength, and his desire to stand above all others.

Akira Nishikiyama –
Kiryu’s childhood friend and later rival in Yakuza 1/Kiwami. His carp tattoo represents perseverance, but unlike a dragon, it never ascends, symbolising his tragic fate.

Goro Majima –
The Mad Dog of Shimano. A major character in the Yakuza series, playable in Yakuza 0, Yakuza Kiwami 2 and Like a Dragon Gaiden. His Hannya tattoo reflects his violent, unpredictable nature and the mask he wears to survive.
