This is by far the most influential game that I ever played, and the best one yet.
Because of the works such as GMOD and SFM, it was the catalyst for getting into the Half life franchise. And it did not disappoint
Considering the time it was realised, back in 2004, it's revolutionary with it's unique graphics, and physics. Not to mention the mods created for this game were great, with some of them being fun enhancements (MMOD), story extensions (Entropy Zero 2) and even created an own standalone title (Black Mesa (Not HDTF)). And to this day, thanks to the 20th anniversary update, this game still being kept alive thanks to players, modders and fans alike. Including TF2, but that's a different story ; )
The thing is, this game was my childhood even if I didn't realise it, i didn't realise how influential this game is through the machinima animation, modding, and fans alike. And for people who haven't played it, you should play it now.

This game is one of the most wonderfully crafted remakes that I ever got to play, and also the most anticipated. Through it's wonderful visuals to the xen overhaul, I can tell you that it's worth the wait. I can even say that this is better then half life 1.
