Early Access Review
Call Of Duty's more gun more fun philosophy made in 8-bit art style with randomly generated maps that sometimes spawn you in front of every enemy. probably the most accurate review i can give. Also, perks.

Really fun game, especially when you are able to hit high speed balls. Bots are decent enough to give you a challenge (they can win you too), with difficulty settings. Sadly enough there does not seem to have a lot of online players, maybe because im just too impatient, but well, the bots are good enough to make up for it. i'd say it is worth a shot when theres some discounts on it. alternatively, go to outpost and buy a copy with keys, i got mine at less than half its price.

as a side note this game has insane modding capacity

Our developer,
who art in Bellevue
Newell be thy name.
Thy games shall come
When they are done
And they will be totally awesome.
Give us this day our daily hats
And forgive us our impatience
As we forgive those who take forever.
And lead us not into fat jokes
But deliver us from EA.
For thine is the software
And the Alyx
And the Gordon
Forever and ever.

honestly one of the most underated games ive played. yeah, the graphics may suck, but well ive had a ton of fun playing it. One of the few vehicular combat games that still feel like a racer, unlike the others that put your camera view a mile away.
Only thing bad about this is the lack of people playing online. Controls also feel quite good and the atmosphere feels nice as well. Quite the wasted game.

EDIT: On a serious note, Overkill is just treating the community as a cash cow, milking as much money from the community as possible.

First off, the game is already hefty, like 20 bucks.
next, youve got tons of dlcs that cost like $3 to $7, and each time a new dlc comes theres a better weapon that makes your old dlc gun look like a water pistol. At first I loved how the devs cared for the community with frequent updates and even free dlcs so i bought a couple of the dlcs. Then it seemed like the devs were just constantly pumping out DLCs like its killing floor or COD, so i hacked the game and got all DLCs free.

Now, as if they havent ****ed us enough, they gave us csgo style cases, spend money on a drill (aka key) and open a safe (aka case). Worst of all, these skins have stat boosts, which even CSGO or TF2 does not have, making this game even more pay to win.

Then again, every cloud has a silver lining, I've been profiting from TF2 and CSGO's trading economy, and if PD2 is going to be something like that i may very well be able to profit from it given how many of the PD2 players will be very new to trading compared to the TF2/CSGO trade veterans.

TL;DR:
Buy this game if:
-you had experience trading in CSGO/TF2/Dota2
-You know sites like M P G H/U n k n o w n c h e a t s/PiratePerfection so you can hack the dlcs
(wow they banned words containing the names of cheat sites?)
Don't buy this game if:
-You hate having to spend tons of money on DLC's and pay to win elements
-You hate developers that take a ♥♥♥♥ on the community once theyre rich
-You hate developers that lie

I understand that for myself i may very well be able to adapt to these changes and profit, but from the average PC gamer's point of view i'd say this microtransaction + DLC may be way too much to handle, so im changing my review to negative.

===========================================
For those wonderng the downfall of PD2
-started off great, nice free content, e.g. Shadow raid, which i'd say was one of the most intense and enjoyable heists ive ever played(even now)
-added a bunch of cheap dlcs that featured pretty cool stuff and new mechanics (e.g. grenade packs, specialised snipers, stuff like that)
-started adding retarded stuff like the DJ Alesso heist (first off, shameless advertising of Alesso), where you had to handle the Pyrotechnics (for whatever reason i don't understand). On top of that you actually needed to pay to play that heist.
-started adding new weapons with better stat bonuses so you'd buy them
-started selling wierd characters like dragan (cyka blyat?) and Jiro (who calls out in japanese even if you set your language as english so you don't understand him)
-added weapon skins to the game which are completely original *wink wink* (except they gave a stat boost which valve did not do)
In fact, the opening animation of the safes have the same animation as CSGO's unboxing animation. How original.

Quite an amazing game, especially if you had been playing platformers when you were young. Storyline's interesting and the narrator is darn epic in terms of randomness. A lot of potential in multiplayer but theres so little people online these days that you probably need a friend to join you. However, if you do have a friend playing with you, it sure is fun.You have co-op's for people who need gems or just want to ruin someone else's day, and arena mode which lets you beat people up. Actually theres a lot more gamemodes which are quite fun too. Also, this game has custom levels put into the game weekly, and theres a level editor where you can create your own levels and share it on the workshop or just play around.

FYI you get to abuse cats as well

"but even the word hopeless has hope in it! plus if you re-arrange the letters, it spells PEE SLOSH! The last part was probably unnecessary."

buckle your pants.
