i liked the demo very much and was one of the winners of a free key in the games' forum from the developers. Now my feelings about this game are much more mixed than after the demo.

Pros:
+ The puzzles are mostly well designed and put a nice spin on the classic Sokoban concept.
+ The art style.
+ The mysterious atmosphere.
+ The story works well enough (so far, after an hour of gameplay).

Cons:
- Contrary to the demo many of the levels don't involve actual puzzles as much anymore, but rather timed challenges (some unnecessarily tight) and getting chased by enemy soldiers.
- Even after the developers listened to the demo feedback and let us zoom out, many of the levels don't let you get a good view on them. That becomes an issue when you get to the levels where you can switch to the Anti-Lab dimension. If you switch in the wrong place, you are outside the playing area and the level resets, resulting in lots of trial and error. It gets especially annoying if you're being chased and can't even get a good look on the area for the next attempt.

I give it a positive review because it's still a nice idea, and I'll finish it probably.. But if I didn't get it for free, I'm not sure if it still would be positive.

It was fun, but a bit buggy at times. Some parts of it felt like they wanted to do more. There were hints at... I don't know, easter eggs or other puzzles maybe, but no payoff whatsoever. Also, ♥♥♥♥ that maze. Running around and backtracking is no fun at all. Overall very good though. Looking forward to the other games.

Wunderschönes Sokoban-artiges Spiel mit stimmungsvoller Musik und sehr viel Content (durch das kürzlich erschienene Update noch viel mehr). Die Rätsel fangen einfach an, werden aber im Laufe des Spiels zu knackigen Kopfnüssen. Wer gerne rätselt und auch den Retrostil mag, sollte dieses Spiel unbedingt mal spielen.

Beautiful art style and soundtrack, the puzzle design is mostly good. But oh boy, the mechanics are so damn janky, navigating the levels can be extremely tedious at times. Finding the collectibles is pretty neat in itself, but then again these gameplay mechanics....
Also, there's no official gamepad support. I mean, the game kinda works with a controller, but not the menus.
Will still finish it probably. And then never touch it again. But the music definitely will stay in my playlist. Best part of the game.

Summary:
Oy, janky hack, mate!

Wie der Vorgänger erzählt Memoria eine schöne Geschichte in einer atmosphärischen Welt. Der gute Eindruck wird allerdings getrübt von einer abermals unterirdischen Performance. Während der Großteil der Synchronsprecher einen guten Job machten, wirkten gerade einige Nebenrollen recht lustlos (Bryda... *hust*).
Insgesamt hat das Spiel aber Lust auf mehr gemacht. Ich hoffe auf ein drittes Abenteuer in Aventurien.

Wenn es nicht so verdammt kurz wäre, würde ich dafür 11/10 geben. So reicht es leider nur zu 10/10.

Metroid-Castlevania-Mix mit klasse Humor. Definitiv zu empfehlen!!

Sehr schönes Spiel!
Zwar ein wenig kurz (an einem Nachmittag durchgespielt), aber nichtsdestotrotz ein Spiel mit einem netten Grafikstil, gutem Humor und tollen Easter Eggs/Referenzen. Darüber hinaus eine gelungene Parodie auf den DLC-Wahnsinn, der immer mehr um sich greift.
