The game looks good, there's plenty of interesting weapons, and the planets are fairly large. Story events seemed to happen without much context or reason and felt random. I hate the characters with their quirky, spastic, and naggy personalities. I spared De Vries only because she was the only character who's ethos I could respect. Shortly after I gave up and uninstalled the game. Points in the game that are portrayed as a cross road have no real consequence no matter which way you choose. "BETRAY YOUR VALUES" or "BE A HERO" for example. I chose to be a hero and was still able "get the bad guy". Although he was able to "finish his work" it did not affect the amount of enemies I had to fight later. I could go on about lazy story writing, forgettable characters, and shallow world exploration but I won't. I'm already annoyed I have to take the time to write this review to not recommend this game to others who should instead save their hard earned money for a more deserving title. I will never buy another Obsidian game if this is the slop they're pumping out to us. Marvel loving redditors will eat this game up so go nuts.

The game had potential but the creators were lazy in execution. Turtle Rock may have created the idea of Left 4 Dead but Valve made it the great game it is. That's apparent in Back 4 Blood. The characters are lifeless and the dialogue is dull and uninspired. Infected animations are generic and the environment interaction with inanimate objects is limited. The music in Left 4 Dead helped set a convincing horror ambiance which Back 4 Blood lacks. You're allowed limited replays in a single play through which is ridiculous (like 1 or 2). The damage weapons to infected is considerably different than what they're capable of in real life, even with the idea of balancing the damage in mind it still falls short and Turtle Rock should be embarrassed. There is no support for the modding community. However, the idea of character perks and weapon mods are cool. It's a shame Turtle Rock shilled this garbage as a "Left 4 Dead 3". I wish I got a refund. I'll never buy another turtle rock game.

i want to see more of the old game modes added like swat, breakout, and infection. otherwise its a decent game

fun game

It's a team oriented infantry shooter. The maps are massive and gorgeous. 100 player servers make the game very fun. I recommend this to anyone who enjoyed battlefield 1 and wants to see more WW1 games.
