This is an excellent driving game at an excellent price. The physics and deformation over the years have done nothing but improve and get fun to an extreme degree. It's quite optimized now as well. Even with my ancient i5 4670K and GTX 970 I can have over 5 cars on screen at once all obliterating each other with very little frame loss, 16 GB of RAM and at least a Quad core CPU is ideal however. Controller and wheel support is also complete and pretty good. The cars drive well on both a wheel and a controller. The base game is a very good product but also has an in game mod repository in the menu where you can really transform the game with other people's very good mods and extra content.

This is a one of a kind game and really no other driving game can offer an experience identical to this one. Soft body physics is a very neat science and part of why this game has been out so long and is taking so long to develop, But it will all be worth it when the game is finally finished. If you are a car enthusiast like me than this game gives your mechanically inclined brain almost any possibility you can think of. $25 is also a very fair price (imo) for the amount of play time you can get out of the game. There is an depth career mode in the works that will also add a lot of replay-ability to the game when it launches, Until then there are still many awesome modes that will give you hundreds of hours of enjoyment like I've gotten so far. There is even an unofficial MP mod for the game called "BeamMP" that's been out for a bit now.
