Been playing since operation white noise (year 2 season 1) on console and since operation shifting tides (year 5) on pc. I really do love this game however the past two season have been nothing but cheater after cheater these guys gotta be studied bro its insane. I do not recommend this game although its a great game at its core the cheaters have taken over. I understand every game has cheaters in it but this one is a whole different animal. Take my 4 ranked games on June 28 2024 as an example, the first two games were against a fully blatant cheater (shooting through walls not normally penetrable, head shots while hip firing with an lmg, and running faster than light), my third game was against 3 blatant cheaters, and my fourth game was against a closet wall hacker who had way too much information for the average player in or around my elo.

There needs to be a more concentrated effort at countering these cheats (which are bought through online services) or need to get an anti cheat that is able to detect questionable files on the cheater's hardware etc. However the mmr roleback system is a nice feature and all it should be improved upon by giving you the full amount of elo you lost and maybe even half of what you would have gotten if you won the match.

I have little to no experience with cheaters in other games but from my experience but from what I have read online about other anti-cheats is that it they are a little more intrusive anti-cheat but however it is more effective for detecting suspicious software as a result; even cancelling a match (like what happens if a teammate leaves before the first round in Rainbow Six: Siege).

I still question why isnt there more being done to combat cheating or even why cheaters cheat in the first place?

I have zero complaints about broken operators, horrible maps, glitches, any of the sorts only cheaters.

I truly do think this game is one of the best first person shooters out there, it is not for everyone especially with it's steep learning curve is what I would have said about this game. I hate playing this game but I keep coming back to it week after week to play it
