Do you like city builders? Do you like the beginning of city builders most where you start building your lil town from nothing and expand outwards? Do you like making new cities almost every session because you can never "finish" your cities? Do you hate how you lose focus of your goals which leads to you getting bored or confused as to what to do next? Well then do I have the game for you!

It takes the fun of the initial building stage of city builders, boils that down and then makes a rouge-lite out of it so every session can be a new city from start to end without making it feel like a waste of time. Each town gets a list of tasks, which it provides one at a time in sequential order, so you always have a goal to work towards. Then once you have achieved enough in your town to max your reputation (or completely failed and the Queen got too impatient) your town is finished and you get to enjoy the fun of starting a new town again! Each city so far takes about 1-2 hours, but that could easily change depending on the difficulty and your skill...and probably a bit of RNG. So you could hop into the game, build and finish a city in one sitting, and then the next time you come back to play you can settle a new town without being lost as to where you were or what you were doing last time.

Also you can have lil beaver people in your cities, and who doesnt like beavers?

Its a cozy no-stakes game where you make stickers using an EXTREMELY basic image editor (no undo button :( ) and built in sticker elements, and sell them to buy new sticker parts. There's no endgame, or real goal, just sticker making. There are a few cute stories about a few of your repeat customers, but these unlock nothing but achievements.

But hey you can save your sticker creations to your computer if you wanted to print them out yourself, you just can't make money off them for obvious reasons.

Its a fun rhythm game, even if you don't have VR. However the keyboard controls will cramp your hands up within a song or two, so a controller is ABSOLUTELY necessary if you dont have VR. However you can easily tell that the controls would be much simpler in VR (cant forget which button is which drums when you're actually holding the drumsticks to hit the drums). However they would likely be a lot more of a workout and thus more skill would be required, so VR wouldn't necessarily be "easy mode".

Anyways great rhythm game especially if you like rock and/or metal music.

Fun game

Its a pretty fun action RPG that could be summed up as a Rhythm based Diablo game, with a good variety of music packaged with the game. You also level up all of the characters together, so you dont need to worry about levelling up the cool new character you just got. They also share the majority of gear, aside from their unique melee weapon and ultimate attacks.

However the one downside I've run into so far is also a big upside to the PC version: the ability to import your own music. The game, while able to read the artist and album names, does not separate your imported music based on them. Instead it just lumped all of them together in "unrecognized". Additionally, you can only import a single song at a time, and you need to click off of the imported song as the "Delete Song" button replaces the "Import Song" button while an imported song is selected and it automatically selects the imported song. So if you have a few dozens songs to import it will take some time to add all of them. Thankfully importing each song is near instantaneous, so its just tedious rather than sitting around and waiting. Another big downside is that imported songs need to be re-imported everytime you open the game, it doesnt save them.

If you ever played this back when it was still just a Skyrim mod, know that its so much better now. I refuse to spoil anything about the story, because trust me you dont want it spoiled as its REALLY good. However at the time of writing this review I got my first ending, which was the canon ending. It took 7 hours, but for essentially half of that time I could have bowed out and chosen a different ending if I wanted to...but lets be real who doesnt aim for the canon ending their first go?

Its a great metroidvania game, though one MUCH closer to Castlevania than Metroid. Graphics and animations in a few areas are a bit lacking (oh poor Johannes, and the flying/jumping chariot), but the gameplay is really great.

I've been looking for something to scratch that "Dungeon Run" itch that Hearthstone did really well with its rouge-like CCG mode, and while its by no means the exact same it definitely scratches that itch. Is it the best game? No, and there are far better deck builder rouge-lites out there. Its design also leaves much to be desired. But if you've given up on Blizzard games, but are craving that Dungeon Run, this is definitely something to consider.
