I had to stop playing the game the transitions just give me a headache. There is way too many transitions and the puzzles are not good enough to warrant more than half the game just going through transitions!

Really good game. Great if you enjoy Spike chunosofts similar games like the nonary games or danganronpa. The puzzles feel really good and the story is quite alright with decent voice acting.

The weakest part is these challenge minigames you have to do but it really isn't that bad as you can skip them and not feel like you lost anything. I will say though since they are usually done at large story beats it feels a bit anti-climactic when something happens in them cause it always felt so sudden and unfinished?

Hey if you are reading this and currently playing the game could you leave so I can play?

currently the game is better than the first Battles. But this game has glaring issues such as punishing you for being good at the game. And an expensive subscription service in what is basically a mobile game.

First off when you start the game it will force you into a tutorial without allowing you to change the volume forcing you to play a match at ear piercing volumes which was very frustrating the only way I was able to enter settings was to spam click all other buttons on the screen until a prompt came up that said you sure you want to quit the tutorial? YES I DO

Next we have the ATTROCIOUS the xp system thats still bad even after the update "fixing it". Basically the more you play the stronger units you get (allowing you to upgrade monkeys to higher tiers) and because of that you are PUNISHED for being good at the game. The higher ranks you go the more people you will face with better monkey tiers which makes you way stronger! I am currently stuck on only having a tier 3 tack shooter because the other towers are not that great with just a 2/2 upgrade so they basically don't get any XP. And the people I face all have a full deck of tier 4s atleast which makes it incredibly hard to leak them early which is what I need to do to even compete because if you get a little bit to late game you will have your whole screen filled with monkeys alot of eco and ZOMGs won't leak the enemy so it's just a waiting game for when you eventually lose with your weak towers.

Now this doesn't mean it's impossible to win but it's incredibly frustrating having to play with weak towers BECAUSE you have to give them XP but since they are way weaker than for example my case my tackshooter (which I need to build to compete with enemies). they basically don't get any pops at all so it's just a slow grind of having to play with weak towers lose to someone who is probably worse than me but has bought VIP so they have easy XP.

Now you might say that this issue existed in the first battles game, and you would be somewhat correct but this game has it way more extreme. In the first game lower tier towers were way stronger and could somewhat compete with higher tiers for example a triple dart monkey was very cost efficient and really strong or a burst sub tower was really strong aswell, pairing that with a monkey farm and you could win over most opponents with better timings and such.

Game had a good run!

I didn't really expect it to make it this far but I am happy that it did. It is very dissapointing that they are forcing you to download another launcher to play the game when it worked perfectly fine before. I don't even hate epic games but it's just so useless.

It doesn't help that the users of steam absolutely despises epic games so you basically just got alot of loyal fans angry and frustrated for no reason. I am assuming you got like a nice check or was it just for playstation crossplay?

All in all it's a decent game but after years of not removing the awful gamemodes that everyone hated and just not knowing it's playerbase I have to give it a negative review

Really fun game! based on old Warcraft 3 mod but way more fine tuned and feels really balanced :)

there is so much information about this game I doubt even the highest ranking players know everything.

This review will be simple.

This is a medieval reskin of Left 4 Dead 2 with grinding.

The only reason I would get this is if:

1. You are a warhammer fan and will enjoy anything with warhammerTM plastered over it (nothing wrong with that)

2. You want to play L4D2 with abilities for 28 Euro when L4D2 itself is 8 euro.

3. Community seems friendly. First game on weekly mission we played with a high leveled fellow who was extremely nice and helped us find some secrets in the map to get more rewards, this doesn't speak for the rest of the community though as he was the only one to actually speak in voice comms which is fine but I don't know if there is a drooling toxic community.

Reasons you shouldn't get this game:
1. 100 GB download, this isn't an issue for alot of people but please keep that into consideration. Also want to point out that 100 GB doesn't mean alot of content, I felt like most of that went into graphics (which I have to give to them look amazing)

2. you are locked into the easiest difficulty for atleast 10 hours, (I realise that I don't have 10 hours on this game yet but after 3 hours I got about a third of unlocking the next difficulty). the easiest difficulty gameplay felt like you were just spamming left click until your mouse broke and holding w, there are some bombs and stuff like that to spice up the gameplay but none of it really matters since nothing in this game actually poses a threat if you've played a first person game before.

3. Once again you are locked into the easiest difficulty for 10 hours. Feels like the game doesn't start until harder difficulties so if you want to actually "experience" the game then you need to play more hours than the refund policy allows which is 2 hours.

4. When I say L4D2 Reskin I mean a litteral reskin, Hunters spitters jockeys boomers and tanks are the special enemies in this game. The only thing that is different between these enemies and the one in L4D2 is that they look different.
Melee is similar as in L4D but it doesn't feel satisfying which sucks since you will be using melee in this 80% of the time.
Something else that is taken from L4D2 is the scavenge minigame, if you don't know what that is it is where you pick up gascans and fill up a generator in L4D, the problem with it in this mode is that if you get hit once by an enemy the tank will explode, which stuns and damages you AND you have to go all the way back to get the gastank which is a pain and doesn't feel rewarding at all.

5. Missions. Missions are set up with a story and are supposed to be played in order. The problem comes where if you play quickplay it will just select one in random which might make sense in theory BUT you get less rewards if you play a custom game so you can play them in order. which means you will be playing quickplay and not following the story at all if you actually want to get out of the hellhole that is recruit difficulty.




End of all this isn't my cup of tea and it left me severely dissapointed for 30 euro, if you want a different take on l4d2 in a warhammer setting with classes and such don't let this review bring you down I am just here to warn you if any of these mechanics will ruin the experience for you. also if you are unhappy with the game don't forget to go to help on top left steam support then follow the steps to refund the game.
