I work at a buffet in the bakery section and the oven doesn't have temperature numbers on the dial. I was told to turn it half way until the light comes on. My oatmeal cookies and mini chocolate chip cookies come out over done because I worry about under-cooking them since I'm told I have to keep checking them and rotate the pan because the heat isn't distributed evenly. How do I know when to take these cookies out just by looking at them?
Edit: Ty everyone so much for the answers I read them all. Honestly the owners just opened after Covid so things are a bit rough but hopefully they replace the oven it is annoying to use!
