Early Access Review
Totally unique and cute wood-punk city builder about adorable beavers building vertical cities, dams, and levies to survive drought and starvation in a post-human world. The challenge of figuring out how to reshape the entire map to avoid droughts and desertification with water physics (dams, water gates, levies) and terrain manipulation (TNT, digging machine, beaver bots), while trying to keep your beavers safe, cozy, well-fed and socialized (blue berries, baked potatoes, terrace rooftops, campfires! mud baths! beaver statues!) Has numerous systems creating increasing complexity as the city progresses including resource & energy collection, warehouses, districts, migration, and Trees (including tech tree).
As for tension, don't underestimate the Absolute Panic when one of your favorite beavers breaks a tooth or is resource gathering far from the city without food or water or the ominous arrival of droughts leading to water and food reserves running low.

Many simple joys also abound, such as naming your city Morning Wood and favorite beavers Sweet Tooth, Lumber Jane, and Spruce Bringstein.

More Beavers and Wood than Only Fans 9.5/10. (Wish the tutorial went into some of the end game systems/tech a bit more).

Very few modern games actually feel like an adventure. Through carefully manicured quest lines, objectives, led by markers and pathways, even most open world games offer little in the way of discovery. Elden Ring doesn't deign to hold your hand. It reveals snippets and insights, secrets and surprises only through your effort, determination, and exploration. Gone also are the limited paths of Dark Souls-- no boss is an obstacle, just challenges to meet when you feel prepared.
There is something peaceful, mysterious, and at times horrifying about forging your own path through the mysterious and unrevealed lands. Sublime reverie spliced with moments of pure dread in a world embroidered with beauty and horror.. Inquiry is met with reward as often as death. Cliffs can become gateways or graveyards. Dogged battles transform into frenetic ballet. Death becomes meaningless-- there is only the next horizon, the next discovery, the next foe to vanquish, in a seemingly endless quest for the Elden Ring, whatever that is.
Will edit later when I discover much more.

Space ninjas with a lot of depth. Currency can be farmed in game. Not P2W or P2P. Story is awesome.

EDIT: Amazon Games is listening to the community as a whole, releasing an apology for issues with Argos release and botting. Hopefully they will begin to address the other issues with their Customer Service in the future. Original review below.

Lost Ark is a beautiful game held hostage by Amazon Games. Amazon Games provides zero Customer Service-- you will wait for two weeks for your ticket to update and finally contact them again yourself. Many items appear nearly identical in the store and cost the same amount and are easily mistaken for each other (as evidenced by several people on the Official Lost Ark Forums making the same mistake). That wouldn't be a problem in most games, but Amazon Games won't fix anything-- they don't allow *ANY* exchanges or refunds and often ban Customer accounts for trying to refund and repurchase the correct items.

GOOD NEWS:
1. For the price of ONE Character Slot Extension or Character Customization Ticket in Lost Ark you can get THREE Character Slots in POE and know that every MTX you purchase transfers to POE2.
2. Lost Ark is probably worth playing on Korean servers, even with the lag. It won the 2019 Korean Game of the Year Grand Prize and is Customer Focused instead of Amazon Gang. You also won't be funding Bezos' slave labor and space d0ngs.

A fun ride, literally. Getting to soar through the air on dragon back and customize your character, raise dragons from egg to adult, and participate in various PVP modes including capture the flag. Lore heavy, so I'm hoping for a single player story mode at some point. Good stuff.

Tried this out during the free weekend. A very addictive blend of Minecraft and Ark survival. The UI rather cluttered and the game set up & reloading are a bit confusing. Otherwise, this was a fun 4 hours that could easily turn into 400.

Definitely worth checking out during a free weekend snagging the base game during a sale.

My power move is opening Elder Scrolls Online, forgetting I have it open, and leaving it logged into the launcher for 2-6 hours. I don't know what my in-game time is, but my in-launcher time looks more impressive.

A more streamlined & story/lore oriented version of Stellaris. Feels more Civ-like. The focus is conquest rather than battles, but battle can be fun once you start designing your own ships and select maneuvers. Victories by points, conquest, economy, religion, etc. Limited number of races, but some customization available (less than Stellaris). The tech-tree/UI is very clean and fun to use.
