Isaac is the most competent video game engineer to date.

Alien: Isolation is one of the coolest horror game experiences I have ever had the pleasure of playing. It has the action-horror themes present in all the Alien films, while also adding its' own unique twist to the concept that the Alien series has toyed with.

Admittedly, as cool a game Isolation is, one of its' biggest flaws is its' similarity to the movie franchise. Yes, I said that the game had its' own very unique twist on the story, and yes its i meant to be set in the universe of the Alien franchise, but some of the jumpscares are very predictable and overall less fear-inducing for those familiar with the original film franchise. The jumpscares are very scary, don't get me wrong, but sometimes you experience the jumpscare, then when you're adrenaline rush evaporates, you go, 'Well, that was coming all along.'

Even with its' faults, Alien: Isolation is still a very cool experience and overall one of the best horror games I have the pleasure of owning in my Steam library.
