I have been playing this game since around mid 2015 and have seen it evolve into something even better (it was great even back then). It has a very unique vibe and setting that reminds one of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. The animations fit the theme and weapons feel heavy and devastating. If you are looking for a game that combines light survival mechanics (no hunger or thirst micromanagement) with horror and a unique storyline and setting, I firmly believe you should look no further than Darkwood.
