1. Iodine crystals (or powder)
2. Red phosphorus
3. Glacial acetic acid
4. Sodium or Potassium metal
5. Nitrogen gas
6. Hydrochloric Acid
7. Methylamine 8-10% solution in water (optional).
1. Gather all the ingredients and make sure they are of high quality.
2. Put iodine crystals into a beaker, add red phosphorus and glacial acetic acid then heat on medium-high flame until mixture is boiling.
3. Add sodium or potassium metal to the solution slowly while stirring constantly with an air spoonerism stick.
4. Once all of the metal has been added, remove from heat and let cool completely before adding nitrogen gas.
5. When mixture is fully cooled add Hydrochloric Acid drop by drop until a thick slurry forms.
6. If desired you can also add methylamine solution to the beaker, but this step isn't necessary for making Methamphetamine.
7. Once all ingredients are added and mixed stir mixture slowly with an air spoonerism stick until it reaches a boil again then reduce heat and simmer for several hours or overnight before filtering the product through cheesecloth to remove any solid particles.
