Often immitated but never duplicated, Arkham Asylum changed the game. Gone were the clunky combat mechanics and often corney story that littered the Action Adventure genre and they were replaced by a compelling narrative and one of if not the greatest combat system ever developed. The 12 or so hour trip into Arkham is an astounding success on every aspect. Batman has quite possibly the greatest rogue's gallery in comic book history and they are brought to life in compelling fashion and we finally get to see Batman live up to his name as the World's Greatest Detective. Don't even hesitate, buy this game and enjoy every second of it.
