I've played for about 12 or so hours and a few more on EPIC when it first came to their early version.
Let me be very clear. I do not like First-Person Shooters. I've tried several competitive and non-competitive FPS and bounced off them all. Hard. Witchfire has kept my attention for some reason. I like how their reward structure, it's not random and the pace is good and the best part is the game feels. . .right? It is really hard to describe, but everything the game does about the gun-play feels right. The sound especially. I have stopped playing so that I can enjoy 1.0 when it comes, but if you like the rogue-like, FPS, that is more thoughtful than twitchy, you will hopefully love this game.

Was looking for a game to scratch the FFT, FE, Tactics Ogre Itch and overall it got pretty close.

A Great game marred by lackluster graphics (some of the times), pretty bad voice acting, a decent story and lots of fun with the combat/strategy aspect.

Overall, I hope the sequel doesn't use RPG Builder as the Generic "Cut-scene Sprites" are just bad and really detract from the overall narrative. The in combat sprites are good looking, wish some of the animations were more interesting, especially from the unique characters.

The Strategy part is a ton of fun and being able to change your classes on the fly in-between missions using a resource-type system makes customization a lot of fun.

Overall 8/10 for me, I'm not the biggest Advanced Wars/Squad based comabt fan. I do prefer Individual characters but even despite that, I found the squad system fun and hopefully they can iron out a few little bugs and stuff here and there to round out the game a bit more.
