I was recently able to come clean, after 1 year of Vampire Survivors addiction.

Then I found this game.

Currently the game crashes everytime someone messages me on steam. Pure garbage.

Unfortunately, I have to say I regret my decision of buying Mw2, the "vault edition" no less.

Game feels shallow and heartless, and season 2 added almost nothing for multiplayer. Most of the stuff you can experience with warzone.

Instead of hating this game for what it wasn't, I loved it for what it is.

I can only recommend it. Fantastic narration, awesome characters developement. Gameplay was solid. You really bond with the characters. Some choices are really though. All in all, one of the best games I played in 2022 and one of my all time favorites, among names like Deus Ex and Half Life.

I tried to love it, but it's so clunky, bugged and uncontrollable that it's only good for a laugh in my books. A pretty expensive laugh.

I'm hooked.

I don't usually like doing reviews, especially negative ones, but I feel like I need to do this one, because honestly I find the 78% positive reviews on this game really misleading.

I love tetris, and I like playing a decent tetris clone. Unfortunately this game is not decent, at least by my standards.

Let's start with the pros, which are few and far between: this game is cheap, it has colorful achievements and they are fairly "easy" to get (took me 1,5 hours roughly).

Ok now the reasons why I can't recommend this game, even for the dirty cheap price of 39 cents when it's on sale:

-first of all, and most important I think, the controls. The controls can't be remapped (at least from inside the game). I am very ok with playing tetris with the keyboard, but PLEASE, let me map my keys. Which leads to the second point, which is....
-you need to play with 1 hand and use the other hand to point and click with the mouse... Yes that's right. And the worst thing is that I didn't even understand this, until I read another review which said that to catch the bonuses that sometimes pop up on the screen you need to CLICK on them. Which is explained nowhere in the game. Not even in the controls option menu.
-the gameplay: this is a very bad clone of tetris. Pieces move and rotate a bit too slowly, and the graphic effect of a piece rotating is painfully slow and confusing, to the point where it's hard to understand in which sense is an L piece for example. Also, the pieces lock in place instantly as they touch the stack, so it's practically impossible to fill a small gap (you need to start "sliding" the tetramino before it actually reached the space where it can slide in, but it's really really hard and counter intuitive). Another major flaw is that you can rotate tetraminos only in one direction, and when they are aganist the sides of the field they can no longer pivot and you can't rotate them. Also the piece sequence is random but I don't know why it happens all the time to get streaks of 3 or 4 of the same piece. All in all, i'd say this is a very bad and clunky version of the classic tetris.
-the music: it's just one track looping endlessly. It's not bad but it gets pretty old pretty fast.

In conclusion, maybe I've been a bit too harsh in this review, but I can't recommend this game to any Tetris fan, mainly because I don't really consider it enjoyable.

Ok so after the sucsess of the first iteration of this game I didn't think it was possible to replicate and even improve it.
Turns out I was so wrong.
Oh boy, what can I say? This game takes all the good aspects of the first episode and polishes them around the edges, to offer an even smoother and more immersive experience.

The backgrounds have higher resolutions and they are so realistic that sometimes I thought I was just lost in space, in a maze up above the milky way.

The music is so celestial and brings you into another dimension. Also the sound effects are really over the top.

And finally the graphics, so colorful and detailed! Oh boy how I loved the graphics!

The plot is even thicker this time, with very good characterization and a storyline which looks like it was written by Agatha Christie and Stephen King combined. This time there are multiple plot twists and each one of them was less expected than the previous.

What else can I say? Looking forward to play the next episode!

2021 has just begun but I can say that this in definitely one of the best games I've played yet. This game is amazing! Its state of the art simple game play is just captivating, and once started I had to finish it pretty much in one sitting.

The graphics are gorgeous and photo realistic at times, with lots of different balls, and psychedelic backgrounds which often transported me into something like a parallel universe and gave me unprecedented visuals similar to those of a DMT trip.

The music is relaxing and immersive, and guides you through this experience perfectly, blending with all the rest of the atmosphere.

I don't want to spoil the plot, but the twist near the end actually left me speechless and I think it's one of the most intense and deep games I've ever played.

Finally, I got this masterpiece on sale for dirt cheap. I don't understand how such a beauty can be so inexpensive, considering that triple A games go for about 10 to 20 times the price.

In conclusion, this is one of the best games I've ever played and it will stay in my memories for the rest of my life.

20/03/2021 update

The game is still buggy as hell, none of the important things seems to have been fixed, even though they added a very very clunky feature for bug reporting. Thus, my review doesn't change.

This product is based on a really funny and entertaining game. The core is great and theoretically could provide countless hours of fun. I have to say, though, there are a lot of flaws that should be addressed and in the current state I couldn't recommend it (not even the free version which I played). Here a list, in no particular order, of what turned me down:

-toxicity of players: many many times happened that me and my girlfriend got harassed playing the game. Sexual insults and refecences, without any reason. A mute player in chat button and especially a way to report someone who is using inappropriate language should be a must.

-translation problems: since the game is multilanguage, often there are some translation issues, some minor (e.g. 2 letters swapped in a word), some major, for example completely different meanings of words in other languages, which makes it impossible to guess the word even if the drawing is perfect.

-bugs, softlocks, compatibility issues: it was impossible playing this game on old hardware (i5 2400)... The game simply wouldn't start. This shouldn't be the case since the game is not so intensive, and I think it's just really badly optimized. Also, the softlocking problem: often, after a couple of games, you can't join any more games (it gives you errors or keeps searching forever), and the only fix for that is restarting the game.

-Cheating: same as the first point, it happened many many times that people started cheating. For example, russians, writing the word in chat in russian (impossible to translate for a non russian speaker/reader) and drawing penises on the board. That way only the russians in the game could guess the word and the others couldn't. Same as point 1, adding a report function should be a must for instances like these.

-bugged voting system: often times I can't participate in a voting (for example to kick someone). The key just don't work and I can't vote.

These are just the major problems I had with this game straight off the bat, just playing the free version. But seeing how the game is, I wouldn't buy the full version. I'll probably keep an eye on it though, and maybe I'll get it in the future, if most of these problems get fixed.
