Fun game, nice art style, easy to pick up and try some runs with different combinations and test RNG.

I recommend it and had my fun with it as I await further updates. Good work!

They make an entertaining game, with some interesting mechanics on release. Think Battle Brothers: Evolved.

Then refuse to rebalance aspects of the game yet churn out new paid DLC's.

Do not understand how people pay into monetization like this just because they like the premise of a game.

Worth playing. Quality Roguelike.

Solid soundtrack and variety, good weapon diversity in accompaniment with the individual classes/skills associated (i.e. have blades level and then additionally daggers beneath that, thus leveling both skills providing more perks to spec into), good amount of loot, and then profession skills.

Really all I want out of roguelike, so as long as they continue to expand stuff like quests and scopes as you scale, this game will be excellent long term. Worth buying now IMO as is though.

The game could be absolutely sick.

Pros:
Music, although limited is good.
Dialogue and interactions are fun so far.
Seems there is a variety of goods that will get fleshed out further.
The management side is interesting and a little different.
Skills and insight points are neat.
The map and background art is nice.

Cons:
Takes too long to heal out of combat, to the point that it makes the game less fun. I'm fine with a couple days, but it takes like a week in game to get all your HP back even with using supplies if they've been almost killed. During which you use supplies that cost a bunch, just kind of artificially implied difficulty in a way that's not very fun. I like difficult but make it interesting.

The combat sucks, point blank. Evading and dodging moving you to back row then making moving a separate turn, just for you to dodge again and repeat. The fights feel dull, you either get stomped or you stomp. Not enough equipment modification for your people.
BUT MOST OF ALL, THE SLOW DOWN in fight with frame drops is unacceptable.
Unacceptable. I'll say it again, unacceptable.
You cannot have turn based combat suffer from such massive slowdowns, it kills it. The pacing of combat in these type of games HAS to be fluid, no exceptions. This game does not have that, and is by far my biggest complaint. It just kills it.

Inventory management is a bit extreme due to how MUCH supplies you need to carry. Like multiple stacks, which is fine I'll carry and get alot of food, but its basically gotta be all of your inventory space. Which again, isnt hardcore or difficult in a good way, Like add a expiration date to the supplies or something and reduce their footprint or something.

Some amount of customization or non-MC people that you can still manage. Think like in other tactics games where you can have people that aren't necessarily story important but you can still outfit however you want.

The music completely drops out after sitting for too long sometimes.

Some more interactions along your way to site A to B, its alot of days of nothing, just losing control of your group, using funds and supplies. I just feel there's a way to make these things more fun, not easier, just more engaging.

If the combat wasnt in such an abysmal state, I'd recommend this even with other flaws. The combat needs to be addressed.

Great game, fun with friends, you will find yourselves in a huddled mass of four people staring at the corner hoping you are not the one who gets brutally slaughtered by the ghost. Do recommend.

This is quite possibly the most fun I've had with a game in the past three years.

The replay-ability of this game is absurd, with the new added beginnings for you and your brothers, anything can happen.

The complexity of the game shines through with the fact that pretty much everything plays into your chance for success. This ranges from sustaining injuries, variations in the landscape, line of sight, weapon type, enemy type, resolve of your brothers, their individual skill, their perks, and more. If you like to pay attention, or play chess, this game really scratches that itch. I'm a huge fan of the 1.3 mod for Final Fantasy Tactics, in terms of difficulty being introduced into a strategy based game, and where when you mess up you are actually punished. If you like a challenge and actually getting in the Flow with a game, this is it.

"They're just a couple unholds, how bad could this be?"
